Mainstream parenting msg boards are like train wrecks

Please tell me to quit reading them! I don't need them. They only irritate me.

I stopped venturing into them when I realized there was no way I could keep my mouth shut about some of the more extreme stuff that I disagreed with.
So I either had to just stop going or my head was going to explode lol

There are quite a few topics that either want to make me vomit in my mouth or cry, so I just try to steer clear. I feel to strongly about some things to be able to even see another side, kwim???

I agree, there is a particular one that I am active on, but I usually stay to the boards that I am comfortable on and I definitely stay away from the birth boards.
Lately, though, I find myself coming here more and going there less. I am so glad I found the HC forums!

Those mainstream boards showed me to MDC, which eventually lead me to HC, as soon as I started questioning things that just seemed off to me. I haven't been back since.

I also am not a fan of the large boards. I was a part of one of the larger ones for a couple months but can't stand it any longer and won't be back except to maybe get some diapers

Awe, but we have to get our entertainment somewhere.

I love reading them some times too... but I stop myself when I realize that I am grinding my teeth, wanting to yell, or find myself getting antsy.

Grab a cup of a tasty beverage (I like green tea), a handful of raw nuts (yummy protein, and so healthy), snuggle your favorite sleeping baby (like I am right now), and read away!
