This thread is for claims only. Do not post any questions or chat in this thread please.
New List Rules:
Please do not write things such as custom shirts on your wishlist. Instead please write what you want. For example, womans shirts size M with tulip applique. That way the person claiming you knows what you want and can claim you if they can make it. You are welcome to have custom items on your list, but your main list of at least 15 handmade items must not be items that are specific to one vendor or customs. Although it's nice when someone wants to buy things from our list, the main idea is not for people to have to go shopping. It really helps everyone if you dont have many items on your list that are specific to one vendor or asking for customs from a specific store. If you have a very big wish list then it's fine if you have customs on there or items specific to certain stores. Thank you. In addition, you may have up to 3 weeks to knit items for anyone you claim. If you need longer just PM me to ask for the amount of time you need before claiming.
You can ask questions and post photos here http://hyenacart.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=153113
We will keep the same chat/photo thread for all rounds of this swap. That way we dont have to keep multiple photo threads open for various rounds of this swap. One place to post all photos.
This swap is open for 1 week only and will close around Sunday July 24th or therabouts.
You can join any time after you email your form to Erin and get an approval email back. If you joined in a previous week then you DO NOT need to ask for permission again unless you have late packages. If you have ANY late packages you need to ask for approval before joining. Once approved you do not have to participate unless you want to claim someone. So there is no risk involved in joining. You only participate if you want to claim someone for an item from their list.
Email me the following form: ekmaurer3@frontier.com
HC name:
Shipping address:
email:
Will you send a package worth at least $25 before shipping in every claim? yes or no
Can you ship all swaps within 2 weeks?
Do you have a camera and will you photograph every swap you receive and post a photo within 3 days of receipt?
Please remember you are responsible for the shipping costs associated with the claim you make. If you live international or you are claiming international, please consider this before claiming.
How this swap works:
Try to imagine a chain. The first link is the first person whose wish list is on the top of page 1 (Erin) - Notice I include a little info about myself in my wish list. Please do this and include your scent/color likes and dislikes.
Now, we want to put another link in the chain. People will read that list and see if there is something they want to make/buy from the list.
Someone (Person B) will claim Person A- Erin for some item on their wish list. They post a reply to the thread that says “I claim Person A for [such and such item]. Then Person B will post their wish list. It will continue on like that. You can only claim the person whose wishlist is LAST in this thread. You cannot just pick some random person from the thread and claim them.
You can only claim 4 times TOTAL in the one week this swap is open. Even if people receive their packages in the week, you still cannot claim more than 4 times. Each claim must be valued at least $25. Do not send used items unless the person requests it.
You have 2 weeks from the date you claim someone to ship the item to the person you claimed. A YYMN has 3 weeks. 3 weeks from the date of the claim, so make sure the person sends the yarn quickly. If they don't, PM me and I will work with you. Do you live international and need more time for a YYMN, PM me? I will work with your situation.
Once you ship the item you MUST PM the person you are sending to and let them know the date it shipped and DC#. This needs to be done the date you ship the item and not next day. So, you have 2 weeks from the date you claim to PM the person and let them know it shipped. If you are a receiver and the person who claimed you does not PM you to let you know it shipped within 2 weeks from the date of claim, you can then PM me to let me know. But feel free to PM them first to ask about the status of it before PMing me.
Once you receive a package you have 3 days to photograph the package and post a photo to our Chat/Gallery thread http://hyenacart.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=153113&highlight=
Posting a photo is a requirement of being in this swap. Posting a photo keeps everyone accountable to meet the value. The other reason is that nothing hurts more than sending a wonderful package and never hearing a thank you or I got it. Posting photos lets your sender know you got it. And we all want to see what you got. if you are going to be out of town, just let me know. No worries at all. If you do not post photos of your package you will not participate the next week that this swap is run.
If you have not participated in a HC swap before, you can join, but you can only claim 1 time.
Your wish list must include at a minimum of 25 items. 15 must be handmade items. 10 can be supplies.
Please make your list like this:
example
Handmades items:
angry birds items for a 4 year old
personalized stationary
hand knit socks
Supplies:
yarn
sewing needles
thread
Store bought items:
gift card to amazons
scentsy bars
Other/small extra items to throw in packages:
suckers
stickers
Feel free to include links to examples of items you want. Also include your ETSY favorite list, WIST, or pinterest. Also, note that people can make you items inspired by your examples. So, please indicate if you want an exact replica of an item or if similar items are okay. In addition, you can claim someone for a surprise item based on their list. Like I could claim someone for a surprise ETSY item and then make them an item that is like something in their ETSY favorite list. Or I could claim someone for a package of supplies. You dont have to list out what supplies you are sending them if you do that.
Ideas of things to put on your wishlist:
journals, OBV pants, pillow cases, skirts, fudge, paperless towels, vinyl wall art, pottery, diapers, tea, coffee, candles, mama pads, play food, notebook covers, kids clothing, needle holders, yarn, YYMN, trainers, bookmarks, stationary, dolls, doll clothes, (think Christmas gifts too).
If you make something feel free to PM and I will add it to the suggestion list above

I claim Jennifer for a YYMN scarf (provided she's happy to ship yarn to me in UK - if not I'd be happy to work something out) and some dried calendula and chamomile flowers.
Hi, I’m Shadow, a WAHM to 3 boys (ages 10, 8 and 6). We live in UK and Home Educate. I knit and needle and wet felt.
My favourite colours are jewel tones and brights, (not neons though). I love hot pink, teal, aqua and purple. I like natural items, the fewer man-made and chemical laden items the better. Scent-wise I like citrus (but not grapefruit) and spicy smells. The only floral I like is lavender. I’m not keen on anything too sweet scented. I like mushrooms (the red, spotty kind), fairies, dragonflies, mythical beings, celtic knotwork, spots, stripes, certain florals…. I do not like paisley, sushi designs, skulls, gnomes….probably a few more!
I do not need dust-collecting items!
Crafted Items
Knitted socks – UK6/EU39 which I believe is a US8
Dundies – size 10
Tunic tops in natural fabrics, black, brown, dark teal, dark purple, deep pink are all good I think I’m an XL/XXL
Kindle holder – book style. I’ve yet to buy a Kindle, but hope to. I’d like to be able to pick fabrics – something like this style http://www.etsy.com/listing/62590620/rainforest-ereader-cover-ready-to-ship
Magnets – strong and pretty, to hold lots of papers!
Handmade soaps
Pottery – large mugs, bowls, side plates (gently used is fine)
Messenger bag – I’d like to choose fabrics and am a little picky about pockets as I have to carry meds for my son.
Dundies or boxes for my boys, age 10, 8 and 6.
Heavy duty pants for my boys, preferably with reinforced knees!
Long sleeved t-shirts for my boys (printed, appliqued, embroidered or tie-dyed all fine)
Vinyl wall décor – I’m looking for a rather large tree design.
Small snack bags, with full velcro fastening so tiny things like raisins don’t fall out. I’d like 3, one for each boy.
Small (tiny!) silver based stud earrings
3 large, strong Christmas stockings. I love the scrappy style like http://www.etsy.com/listing/59526881/patchwork-stocking-made-to-order-you
Circular needle case – struggling to find one I like.
Body lotion – must be rich, but a lotion, not a butter, eo scented preferably
Facial scrub
Supplies
Yarn – hand dyed wool based/blend only, dk and heavier.
Fibre – hand dyed merino or merino blend only.
Hand dyed mawatta silk squares
Wooden/natural buttons, various sizes from ¾” to 1 ½” – ish.
Knitting patterns and licenses
Sample packs of dyed fibre other than merino – an example http://www.etsy.com/listing/62042835/ashford-corriedale-wool-roving-wool-for
Store bought
I have a thing for tea towels, especially those with the place you live on them, with sketched pictures of your locality, no idea why, I just do!
Lego for my boys, sets with instructions, used is fine.
Burts Bees items – avocado hair treatment, coconut foot crème, body lotion, face crème…..
For ideas; my Etsy favs http://www.etsy.com/people/FeltFusion/favorites?ref=si_fav
Please note – I am in UK. I will struggle to complete knitting with your yarn or any wet felting and have it shipped to you within the 2 week time frame. Shipping yarn to me from US/Canada usually takes 1-2 weeks and the same sending items to you. Taking into account knitting/felting, drying and shipping and you are looking at 3-5 weeks. This has been cleared with Erin. _________________ Shadow

Favorite colors – darker shades of red (burgundy etc), navy, darker greens, dark purple, chocolate brown. I absolutely hate pastel colors for myself, they are fine for items for Faith or baby.
Favorite scents – apple, orange/citrus, clean fresh scents. HATE patchouli & anything strong, musky or floral.
DO NOT NEED/WANT – candles/tarts, food items (unless listed specifically), jewelry
Etsy favorites here - http://www.etsy.com/people/SEWsationalSarah?ref=pr_profile
Handmades items:
Diapers – size small, have plenty of newborn size. I use all kinds of diapers – pockets, AIOs and fitteds. I prefer diapers that contain either organic cotton or bamboo fleece for the soaker over hemp or other absorbant fabrics. I prefer bamboo velour or cotton velour over microfleece for inners. I do not like diapers that contain the microfiber soaker material. Used is okay if they are in excellent condition. Gender neutral prints/colors only please. Diaper covers are good too. Would like a Goodmama just to see what all the hype is about – excellent used condition is okay.
WAHM made baby clothing – Size Newborn & 0-3 month. Winter appropriate clothing - Long sleeve tops, long pants, booties, hats, gowns, no scratch mittens. Gender neutral. Soft shoes/slippers/knit socks too.
*Would really love a shirt made of Retro Hearts (first love) fabric or possibly embroidered with hearts that match that fabric?
Camera Strap – something padded a bit at the neck. I can give the size of the holders on my camera that the ends would need to fit through, if it helps I have a Kodak Easy Share Z650.
Wetbags – I could use a large kitchen wetbag that has a loop of some sort for hanging.
I also will be needing a diaper bag sized wetbag, as well as a larger hanging wetbag.
Diaper Bag – prefer something WAHM or handmade. I like larger bags that hold a few diapers, change of clothes, a changing pad, as well as my purse items & keys. Nothing baby looking, something stylish.
Small Wool Interlock Longies or soakers - Gender Neutral.

I claim SGRAHA for a small diaper and some wipes
I'm Bonnie, the Holden's Landing mama, mama to 2 in northwestern Connecticut.
I am an obsessive seamstress, knitter, crafter, baker, cook. I am a big nature lover. I collect things with red and white lighthouses that coordinate with the Holden's Landing lighthouse
I do not like pink as the predominent color, and do not like yellow. Favorite colors are earthy and jewel tones: red, eggplant, brown, pumpkin, rust, turquoise, emerald, hunter green, etc. I cannot stand the smell of patchouli but love bakery type smells and sandlewood. My current favorite scent is lime (just lime, not lime mixed with anything else). Then Yuzu is my favorite, followed by most other citrusy scents: grapefruit, tangerine
I drink tea and coffee all day long, but only decaf … me and caffeine are a BAD thing. We have a small farm with chickens, guinea fowl and angora rabbits (adding dairy goats and alpacas next year), lots of fruit trees and vegetable/herb/fruit gardens
I love woodland themed things (mushrooms, hedgehogs, red foxes, red squirrels, etc.)
Crafted items:
* crop length/capri yoga/stretch pants - organic bamboo jersey or something similar. Low rise, XS 0/1 - dark colors - love these for farm/yard work!
* fitted graphic tees XS, like this - http://www.etsy.com/listing/55666715/caution-hot-v-neck-ss-raglan-tee-qt102?ref=sr_gallery_1&ga_search_query=fitted+graphic+tees+%2B+xs&ga_search_type=handmade&ga_facet=handmade
* buttons from tessa ann - almost any theme would be great (already have farm, oranges)
* buttons from digits designs on etsy - www.digitsdesigns.etsy.com (or similar buttons from similar artisans)
* Fabric bins for storage in cool prints or in solid red and/or solid light blue
* bamboo jersey skirt with yoga waistband, size xs (can provide measurements)
* cold processed soaps from Relic Soap Company, especially fresh lime margarita
* wooden molds for speculaas/springerle cookies
* pink grapefuit/citrus foaming facial cleanser with scrubbies (not a sugar scrub or anything with butters in it). Mineralicious Makeup makes it, I used to buy from her until she disappeared. This is a link to the product I used and dearly miss - http://www.mineraliciousmakeup.com/products/details/3/Pink-Grapefruit-Facial-Scrub-2-oz - dont' order from her but if you know of someone else who makes it or if you can make it yourself, i will love you forever!
* curtain for my sliding glass door in light blue with a red and white light house, or light blue fabric with lighthouses on it so I can make curtains. Or possibly light blue fabric with a hand painted red/white light house on it that I can make curtains from ...
* lighthouse clock (preferably wooden or pottery, but doesn't have to be, preferably red/white lighthouse -handmade or store bought are both fine)
* doormat/small rug that is light blue with a red and white lighthouse (does not have to be handmade, but I cannot find one!)
* I collect pottery: mugs and bakeware are always needed. Would love a light blue mug with a red and white lighthouse on it
* jewelery - only necklaces, and only stones, no crystals/beads. Doodles Jewels is my fav
* OBV yoga pants, size xs, as I live in the pairs that I have - any colors above other than brown or yellow/orange (my current pairs are brown/green, brown/pink, brown/green/blue, blue/red, black gray, yellow/orange and black/red)
* pottery/ceramic travel mug with lid - I have one and A keeps taking it, lol
* artisan teas and/or coffees in neat flavors (has to be DECAF)
* surprise package from etsy favorites (just not the sports stuff - those are there as references for me for holiday gifts!)
* Yarn swift (wooden) or ball winder (used is fine)
* Wooden bread box
* Fabric memory board (this style - http://www.etsy.com/listing/55619460/southwest-brown-memory-board-french-memo?ref=sr_gallery_24&ga_search_query=memory+board&ga_search_type=handmade&ga_page=&order=&includes[0]=tags&includes[1]=title&filter[0]=handmade)
I would love a light blue one with red or red and white ribbons; I would also love a horse themed one in hot pink and brown for Kenna's room. Made by you is great!
* wooden knife block - I am getting tired of sticking myself with all the knives every which way in the drawer!
* wooden or metal key hanger for the wall (something like this - http://www.organizeit.com/poscrollett.asp)
* wooden calendar frame thing (to hand an open calendar in on the wall)
* pottery muffin tin as I can't find a stainless steel one anywhere and we don't use aluminum
Supplies:
* size 3 circs, at least 36" long (Pref addi turbos)
* Fabrics I would love to add to my collection (at least half yard increments)
Anything from this line - http://www.etsy.com/search_results.php?search_query=riley+blake+feeling+groovy+fabric+&search_type=supplies - except solids, the heart patterns and the stripes
http://www.spoonflower.com/fabric/445751 - quilting weight

http://superbuzzy.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=108_110&products_id=5623
* Surprise fabrics from http://superbuzzy.com - nothing babyish or large scale or curtains, but most everything else is cool
I like international themes, woodland/animal themes, fairy tale themes
* Sock yarn in pretty colors for me, at least a sport weight
* book - "Modern Top Down Knitting" - http://www.amazon.com/Modern-Top-Down-Knitting-Accessories-Techniques/dp/1584798610/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1295834484&sr=1-1
* books from my amazon wish list (used VGC is fine) - http://www.amazon.com/gp/registry/wishlist/1X60QZKKD360U

* appropriate yarn weight for any of the above patterns
* organic bamboo fleece yardage

* I can always use wooly nylon or bulky nylon in natural/cream
* Schmetz titanium or gold embroidery needles
* HTF fabrics (at least 1/4 yard) or Japanese/import fabrics
* Gymboree blankets (unused or EEEUC only, but not the current stuff, I generally like the older ones, especially in a forest/woodland theme)
* hand dyed/painted yarns - aran weight and above only
* Dritz spray adhesive - I can always use this as I go through it like water (pink/yellow can with a pink cap)
* Child sized mannequin for knits/clothing
* Undyed BFL, licorace twist, gaia bulky or regular merino
Extras:
* Gift cards - amazon.com, barnes & noble, target
* Used aluminum cookie sheets - doesn't matter if they are not in cooking condition - I use them for work
* I collect sticky note pads and list pads because I use them obsessively
* pretty votive/tea light candle holders and/or votive/tea light candles
* I collect stones - rough and polished. My favorite pieces in my collection are a large piece of rough malachite and a stone with rough garnets in it
* I love to read. I love forensic type books … and I obsessively read farming type books (memoirs and nonfiction) and other nonfiction. My amazon wishlist is up to date with books I want to read and haven't yet read - http://www.amazon.com/gp/registry/wishlist/1X60QZKKD360U
