Love the DAD picture, what a cute idea!!!

I also just indulged a bit at thinkgeek.com... My husband loves their stuff and it's been quite a while since I got him anything from there.

That DAD pic set is adorable!

My DH could really care less about gifts, just wants to hang out with the kids, but I do plan to make him a Cuddle Throw. He's the only one in the family that doesn't have anything and he would definitely use it. I am stressing about colors, but that's because he's an art director and has strong opinions on color, lol.

What a great Dad's day present! Not to expensive and yet very useful.

A new watch, not creative at all but he needs a new one. And I might get him some little bike things (oil, gloves, that sort of thing).

I might do the DAD photo, too. We do gifts for the grandfathers and the fathers in our family, and I usually do a little snazzy something, but I'm really not feeling it this year as Pirate's had minimal contact with his paternal family and we can't do anything in person due to distance.

Question... What would you do, if anything, for a father who's really not involved with his child/ren? I'd feel badly ignoring the day because I've always tried to be the bigger person and I don't want to come off as petty.

Let your son do a finger painting and frame it. Easy, meaningful and inexpensive. It gives a little something of your son to him without you having to put too much of yourself into it. Hugs.

I bought an Anna Ourth stamped keyring for my dh too Smile He lost his keyring awhile ago (and although we just found it, he needs something new) so it's perfect for him!

LOVING The DAD pics!

One thing we've ordered is this

http://hyenacart.com/CrunchyCongo/st/1837/61975/Custom-Felted-Wool-Covered-Organic-Soap-You-choose-

and here are Renee's suggestions on guy flavors:

Fresh Laundry : A floral spruce blend with hints of citrus peels and red berries on a dry down of musk.

Irish Tweed: Spicy-sweet blend of French verbena and lemon, a green Florentine iris and violet leaves, and sublime notes of Mysore sandalwood and ambergris.

Vanilla Sandalwood: The beautiful combination of luscious, rich vanilla, and earthy Indian sandalwood.

Pheonix- Crisp ozone and fresh citrus create shimmering accents for this woody blend. Soft floral tones balance with a heart of cedar and sandalwood, as earthy accents of patchouli and warm spicy tones add drama. Leather and balsam combine at the base of the scent, with hints of powdery vanilla and sweet amber to complete the sensual sensation. <------ my favorite, smells like axe. It says it's got patchouli in it but I HATE the smell of it but I love this one.. so who knows.
