I'm searching for my next sock project and I think my next one should be a pattern done toe up. That way I can be comfortable with both ways. Then, I revisit magic looping.

I hate magic looping longies. I did it twice and swore to never pick my big wires up ever again. But socks may be different. We'll see.

But I digress... as so often I do...

What's your favorite, simple, toe up pattern? Sport weight please, my hands will need a fingering break for a few months. LOL

Eating Popcorn I was wondering about this too.

And I'll digress too...Do you knit continental? That could be the magic bullet to get you to love knitting socks, any weight. Smile

I'm liking this pattern. I like the way the toe is started.

Let's see. Since this is the next thing on my list (cause I have some gradient sock yarn that needs to be knee highs)

I've heard good things about
http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/fleegles-toe-up-socks (the famous fleegle heel)
http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/skew is supposed to be pretty awesome
Wendy Knits famous
http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/wendys-detailed-toe-up-sock-pattern

and a note for people with *POINTY* toes.

I love knitting toe up socks. I always magic loop though as I like to do both at once so I don't have to make sure that I am getting the same size, they just end up that way, and when I am done I am done. Though over all I prefer dpns as I can knit faster. Anyways. My favorite pattern is the fleegle pattern and you can make it from any weight, as you make it the size to fit you. you just try it on as you go to know how many stitches you need. I is also really easy to add a pattern if you want, just do a fun stitch pattern for the top of the foot, then after the heel, you can do it all the way around.
