I just love a themed package.
In this package you will make the person you are sending to a themed package based on their list of likes/dislikes and possible themed ideas.
http://hyenacart.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=139153&highlight=themed+swap
http://hyenacart.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=131961
http://hyenacart.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=134770&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0
You can skim the above threads to see some of the wonderful packages that were put together to get ideas.
This will not be a secret swap, so that you can ask the person you are sending to questions if needed.
Ok, before you commit to this remember that you are commiting to send out a well coordinated thought out package that should be themed around one of the things your partner puts in her theme list.
Here are some themed pakages I have received, just for inspirations
Alice in Wonderland

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (complete with chocolate factory tour

Sense and Sensibility

This was the Twilight themed package that I just got.

You will create a themed package valued at least $30 before shipping based on one of the theme ideas from the person you are sending to. Make sure and pay attention to their likes and dislikes.
This will not be a secret swap so you can ask them more questions if you need more info.
This will take thought, time, and effort, so don't sign up if you can't give it that.
To sign up you must create a list of theme ideas, whether they be books, movies, poems, songs, things, colors, etc. Then you must also list likes and dislikes.
You will be able to make requests and I will try to fill them. The more names you give me the more likely I will be able to do it.
Sign ups will open through Feb.10th. Forms will be due on the 11th at 3 hyena cart time.
Items must be shipped by March 30th.

This is my sign up from before. I will edit it later today.
Theme idea lists
Gently used items are great.
I love books, really not much for movies. I go to them once or twice a year and then they are based on books.
I love the classics. Any of them would be great.
I love Jane Eyre.
Jane Austen I have all of the books but her short stories, poems, letters, and prose. I am reading or rereading them all right now and just read Sense and Sensibility, Pride and Predjudice, Emma, Northanger Abbey, Persuasion, and am reading Mansfield Park now. Even though I have them all, they are all paperbacks and cool hardbound copies are always appreciated.
I do love the Collin Firth Pride and Prejudice movie.
I received a fabulous Sense and Sensibility package you can see in the first post.
Les Miserables is one of my favorite book.
Dickens is one of my favorite author.
I read Spanish fairly well so if a book is originally written in Spanish I prefer to read it that way.
I am a visual creative person, so if say a skein of yarn reminded you of Les Miserables, explain why and that is fantastic.
Really any classic poem or book would work for me, although I will work on being more specific and will happily answer any questions for you.
Other non book themed ideas
Dragonflies
Color
Red
or
Purple and green (like the colors on my website)

etsy favorites

Nice pens.
I don't like pastels or pink.
I do like wool, especially fingering or sport and a good handspun.
I love Womeisse, gradual dyed, striping yarn, and semi-solid.
I love to read the classics. Used books are great. . Paper backs are great as are cool handbound copies. Old is good. I actually do have a list of all the books I own.
Maple sugar candies
Chocolate
Naturally Luxe stuff -- pink grapefruit (needs to be nut and dairy free) http://www.naturallyluxe.com/
Bath stuff (bubble bath and bath salts) must be dairy, egg, nut, and peanut free
I love all dreamseeds products and scents.
wahm soaps (must be dairy, egg, nut, and peanut free)

I have plenty of knitting bags, project bags, etc.

No coffee or tea or coffee or tea flavored items
No candles. We can't burn them here because of Stiles' and Kirk's asthma.
Also my dh is very sensitive to scents, so it is best to only get ones I mentioned. With the exception of Dreamseeds. I have never run into a scent there that my dh had a problem with.
I love handmade items and surprises.

I've always wanted to try this one so i'm gonna go for it :-)
If you want to include fabric in the package it cannot be shipped to me until March, I am committed to adding no new fabric to my stash in the month of Feb, and that includes gifts :-)

Theme ideas -
Woodland Critters - i love them :-) Owls, hedgehogs, moose & bears especially.

Camping - we camp all summer long - we have a camper. Cooking tools, cookbooks, stuff for the camper.

Buttons Buttons Buttons - I am finding a huge love for buttons, vintage, metal, ceramic, glass, wood. Storage containers for separating out buttons.

Knitting - I love project kits - something for myself or Faith

Cooking - Low Carb Cooking - Crock Pot Cooking - Kitchen tools

LWI dyeing - I've wanted to learn how to dye my own fabrics & clothing

Clay Sculpting - I'd love to be able to make special ornaments for my family next year for Christmas. I have no clue how to do anything with with fimo (or whatever brand) so a book, some tools and some clay would be awesome.

Likes/dislikes/favorites lists -

Likes – Pottery, Yarn, Fabric, Sewing/Knitting notions & patterns, Woodland Critters, Camping themed stuff.

Dislikes - Patchouli, heavy floral scents, scratchy yarns, pastel colors

Favorite Colors - Blues , Greens, Purples, Browns (nothing pastel!)

Favorite scents? Apple, Orange, Vanilla, Clean/Fresh Scents

Favorite pastimes? Sewing, Knitting, Camping

Do not need/want - bar soap (have plenty, other bath and body fine), tarts, candles, tealights (jar candles okay), food

I'm in.

Theme Ideas
- Glee - I got into Glee with the Rocky Horror episode, and I LOVE it. I have much of the music and I've seen every episode. I was in glee in my high school and college pre-Pirate, and I really miss it.
- Bones - a TV show airing on FOX, starring David Boreanaz and Emily Deschanel. It's basically about crime-solving and forensic anthropology, both of which really fascinate me. I'm a definite science geek and I'm fascinated by bones and skeletons and all of that ooky stuff.
- CSI: NY - a spin-off of the original CSI, airing on CBS. Again with the ooky stuff.
- Law - my best friend used to joke that legalese had the effect on me that "dirty words" had on normal people. I'm going for my LSAT sometime within the next year and then it's off to law school. I'm currently working as a paralegal's assistant and I LOVE it. I love constitutional law, but I want to practice family law (it's less time-consuming).

I knit, but it would be really cool to have a package that isn't "knitting-themed."

Etsy Favorites - http://www.etsy.com/people/sjccheerdoll/favorites?ref=favorites
Ravelry - sjccheerdoll - but not up to date at all.
Sizes - XS-S for shirts, S/2-4 (and short!) for pants, 9 for shoes/socks.

Allergies - Very, very, very allergic to pineapple. If sending food, please ensure that it isn't used as a sweetener. Also allergic to any alpaca fiber or mohair. I'm also throwing this under the "allergies" section, but I'm a vegetarian.

Likes -
Yarn - Dream In Color, Sanguine Gryphon, Nurturing Threads, Huckleberry Knits, DD, WSK, self-striping sock yarns, semisolids. Scraps are always great - enough to do little socks or heel/toe contrasts. I knit with essentially any weight.
Food - Milk chocolate. Caramel. SLHS lollipops.
Mix CDs. My taste in music is really varied, although I strongly dislike country music.
HC - My Beautiful Girl, Dwell Wool Knits, Tessa Ann/The Button Shop, DD, Western Sky Knits, RSE, SHLS.
I adore the texture of OBV. Just... adore.
Colors - Pink, chocolate brown, aqua. I also learned that I have a TON of greens in my yarn stash, which surprised me, but I look good in green. So. Yeah.
Astronaut Ice Cream. It was one of my favorite things as a kid.
I have miniature obsessions with pirates, matryoshkas, and Where the Wild Things Are.
Dundies! I don't yet have a pair.

Dislikes/Don't-Needs -
I already have a yarn bowl from RSE, and I have plenty of DPNs, straight needles, basic notions, needle holders, and project bags (unless you find something really awesome).
I don't need lip balm, mama cloth, journals, pens/pencils, anything pregnancy-related, or anything to share with a sweetie because I don't have one. I'm rather picky on books as well, and I don't wear jewelry with the exception of anklets. I can't wear "normal" earrings - I have stretched ears (12-gauge).
I don't drink coffee and I don't need tea, unless you find something super awesome - especially something that gets rid of headaches (I've tried HP's Green Goddess, and I've been having a difficult time with it).
I dislike spearmint, dark chocolate, white chocolate, most peanut butter.
I don't sew. NO idea how.

Anything Else -
Used in giftable condition is fine... except undies.
