So. today, i was kind of giving up on the pox, and let my friend know, who has been waiting for pox so we can infect, that I dont hink we have pox yet. Well, then, i started noticing a couple bumps pop up on d's face. and he was really irritable. So I called her up and offered to drive to her, because she broke her foot on friday. it was an hour and half car ride. We got there, and D shared a cup with her little girl, and we let her little guy play with D's binkie. We were there about 2 hours, and I decided to come home. It was rush hour, and I had a long drive ahead of me.
When i was about 45 miles from home, sitting in the far left lane on the freeway, my youngest daughter tells me she isnt feellng well, and then she puked all over herself. I handed her a wet bag to puke in, as it was the only think i can reach while driving. Then my middle daughter, who has severe anxiety about puking, starts saying she is going to puke. Now I dont do puke well. I have a fab hubby who help me with the kids when they are sick, because i puke just from smelling it.
So i am driving, during rush hour, with 2 of my 4 kids puking, and i am trying to breath the fresh phx air.
I got home, and got everything cleaned up, and hubby joined me an hour later, and all was OK. then it all starte. 3 of my 4 kids puking, and 2 of them girls seem like they are getting spots on their face.
I had NEVER heard that chicken pox virus could cause vomiting. I read over and over again, it is a respiratory illness.
All I have to say is, this BETTER be chicken pox. we have been sick almost constantly for 2 months now, and we need this random illness to end!
OH, and i am happy to report, i made it home, with my stomach contents safely where they belong.l _________________ Melissa Mom with 11 kiddos. 4 who run on Earth, 7 who soar with the angels.

the chicken pox virus can be mutated and cause vomiting due to the vaccine creating a super bug. Its a live vaccine and people have contracted the pox from it but its a mutated version. I have heard of people vomiting.
The other thing is that if they have a lowered immune in those first few days (where pox is in the body but not showing) then they can pick up the flu easily
just my two cents. _________________ Sharleen- Homeschooling WAHMommy married to my hero!

it is now almost 1230 Am. Hubby is sleeping because he is "tired" and I jsut got done cleaning up after my daughter who leaned over the top bunk and puked ALL OVER the floor in her room, and her room didnt get cleaned today, because i didnt feel like begging.
That was a fun clean up job.
And then, while in the middle of that. D started puking in his crib. So it is official, I have 4 sick kids, I will be washing sheets, and towels all night, and I promised my cousin I would go to her beauty school in the morning, and let her cut my hair, because she "needs models" for her grades. ( she has been in school for 3 weeks so i am a bit nervous, but i love her and want o support her) So, I have to be out of the house in 7 hours, to get to her on time.
Like i said, we better get some pox out of this. _________________ Melissa Mom with 11 kiddos. 4 who run on Earth, 7 who soar with the angels.

I'm thinking you all have the Flu and that you just shared it with your friend too. Sorry about the puke in the car - that would have put me over the edge. _________________ Sue, Mom to Abbie (8), Andy (6), Ava (5), and Audrey (2)

I would have said that too, except for the fact that her "D" has been throwing up for more than a day. That kind of throws it off. _________________ Sandy Homeschooling Mom to 5 great kids

I probably wouldn't have exposed my kids to pox if they've been sick for 2 months with other stuff. It CAN be a nasty illness and have complications. I would have wanted their immune system stronger to deal with pox.
Chances are that if you kids have CP, they may also have some other virus too. _________________ Melinda

I vividly remember chicken pox as I got it when I was 13 and I vomitted A LOT with it. I got sick 2 weeks into summer vacation and I was nasty sick. I cannot remember if my younger siblings vomitted or not with it. But, I do remember that we all got it sequentially. My poor mom...6 weeks of us being sick IN SUMMER! So....I think it still could be CP. _________________ Holly

A wet bag actually sounds like the perfect thing for puking. you know for as long as their still awake why not stick them in the tub? when they puke change the water. Also we give a bucket to keep nearby if they're old enough to figure it out. _________________ Mother DD '07 and DS '09
