Bean turns 1 tomorrow, and with that she is granted the ability to wear her new MM Birthday Girl longies that Tiffani knitted up for her. But I was wondering if this is possible..
Id like to take her 1st pair that Nicki made her, pay someone to frog them and make me a pair of fingerless gloves. Is this possible? They are in wonderful shape and all that.. not felted or shrunk. Coveted more than anything. I just get so much use out of the fg's I have, and I wear them all year round for the most part as Im having a lot of issues with circulation in my left side so the hand goes ice cold and numb.
Can this be done or do you have any other ideas of what to do with the yarn? I really would never be able to part with the longies, and since shes our last child I know I wont use them or sell them. _________________ Darcykins

I frogged a pair of DD2's shorties to make them into longies for the new bean. All I did was put it into a hank, washed it and hung it to try. They look great, so I am sure that someone can do it for you! _________________ Jessica~WAHM to Julianne 5-19-07, Jocelyn 8-10-08 & our new sweet baby Jacqueline 12-30-10

Thats wonderful! Im glad, I want to keep the memories. My plan is to get her something knitted out of MM BG each year for her birthday, and then make it into something else when shes done with it. 18 years of MM BG might mean I have to start stocking up on it soon. LOL _________________ Darcykins

I frogged a pair of dashing dachs longies on stallion that were used previously before us and used by us. I washed the yarn a couple of times, got all the lanolin out of it and now I'm knitting a hat and gloves for gavin out of it.
I think it's totally doable and a great way to keep the yarn. _________________ Christina: Wifey to Mike. Mama to Spencer (9), Gavin (6) and Mattingly Grace (3). |

I would love it if you could do this! I wont have access to the longies until January when we move into a house and thats around Jan 9th.. then I have to find the suckers. LOL I did not pack our house for the move, the movers did and sadly they wont be the ones unpacking it and putting it all back into place, argh! I have a few other knitted items Bean never got any real use out that I love and now I know to save them! You are awesome!

I get the most beautiful comments about these, and I wear them daily! I simply could not imagine a more beautiful colorway to have brighten my day! I think they are by far the most favorite thing I took with us when we moved. I also have my blue ones that are longer.. I had to hide those from my mother. I keep those in my car for the coldest of days or when my hand is really acting up and I need to keep it extra warm. _________________ Darcykins

Just let me know when you're ready. I actually love these kinds of projects. I got into selling on HC with a frugal heart and mind. I actually tried selling a few slots like this...where I would frog your project for you and make something else. It never went over so I gave up. So anyway, I'm very happy to do this for you. _________________ ~Lisa~
