I LOOOOOOVE my Le Creuset, so much. You should totally get some.
I built my set one piece at a time. The pieces I use the most are my braiser (I use it every single day for everything). I bought it to replace my large frying pan and it has a lid. Mine is lime green http://www.williams-sonoma.com/products/le-creuset-5-quart-braiser/
I also have a multi-function pan, like this in flame http://www.williams-sonoma.com/products/le-creuset-3-quart-multi-function-pan/?pkey=ccookware-le-creuset%7Cckwlcecls The little frying pan that doubles as a lid is perfect for eggs.
I also have a medium sauce pan in red that makes perfect rice, a white round dutch oven, a blue risotto pot (it's larger around and shorter than the dutch oven), and a red soup pot. I love that cassis color on william sonoma, I might need to find a new "must have" piece. Seriously though, I use my braiser for just about everything. _________________ Mechele...sock yarn addict & mama to Claire, our Easter '09 baby

We have an outlet about 30 minutes South of us and another about an hour and a half North of us. Fun to go. But not so much fun when they discontinue the color you started to buy your stoneware in. Bugger butts... |
Hee hee, no problem with the stoneware, Heather, since I make my own but I hope they don't cancel the cobalt blue enamelware!
Ohhhh, these are perfect! Now I have to decide which one I want first!
I need to drive up to Boston to pick up clay today, so we are going to take a little detour to the outlet to check this stuff out. Thanks so much for everyone's help! _________________ ~June

Officially, no.... since this is my Christmas present.
I didn't like the cobalt color. Not a true cobalt. But a lot of the other colors I loved, so... we're going to mix it up! It'll make adding to our collection one piece at a time that much easier and more fun. And we found a ~12 inch lidded skillet (4.25 quart saute pan with lid)! I've looked and looked online and can't find an example. The lady said they don't have them very often, so it could be that hubby bought it, but officially I don't know about it. but it was exactly what I need!
OMG is it heavy though... I hope I'm going to love it! _________________ ~June

Yay for buying your very first piece of Le Creuset! Even if you have to wait until Christmas. You will get use to the weight.
I have a red soup pot, it's the first piece I ever bought but I hardly use it. I don't make a ton of soup and I always reach for my dutch oven first. I should offer it up for trade...hmmm. _________________ Mechele...sock yarn addict & mama to Claire, our Easter '09 baby

Oooh, I was at T.J. today and they had a gorgeous display of all colors and I am with you - If I were to get it, I would want a mixture. Heck, I wouldn't even care if the lids matched(color-wise)! _________________ Mom of lots of things - 2 kids, a dog, a frog, and grudgingly 3 cats.

I'd be making a square dish in green right now and accidentally damage it somehow. _________________ ~Heather~

My absolute fave piece is my dutch oven.
I got a set with taxes last year to replace our 13 year old pans we got before we got married. They are the best thing I have ever had. I need to large skillet as well but will get it eventually. Oh and one of the large dutch ovens someday too! _________________ WAHM to Araya 10/04 and Nevaeh 3/07 and Carter 9/08

I'm taking the kids to the outlet mall on Monday. I may just pick myself up a small saucepan (hopefully in caribbean blue) as a present for finishing up all these customs! _________________ ~June
