Janet my advice is what others have said, stay calm, hydrated, and well fed and rest rest rest. Listen to what the docs tell you, and if I were you I would insist on the highest level of monitoring -- and dont be afraid of giving birth sooner rather than later, the chances of having a healthy baby at 35 weeks are very very good.
:hugs: and love to you

I don't know if this applies here or not, but I know i was always told to increase protein intake and cut out sweets, cut down on carbs etc to lower BP during pregnancy. You've probably already heard that too, but just in case thought I would mention it.

Well I went for my NST, all was fine. They did a quick ultrasound and gave me my schedule which will be hectic but it's great that dh is home so he can watch Abbaad :-) (2 yr old in a clinic for hours at a time = REALLY high BP)

I have NST twice a week and then a major ultrasound once a week to check growth, fluid and blood-flow through the cord. Unfortunately this place is a clinic and it's always busy/booked so I had to take the appointments that I could get. Once a week I'll be making two trips, one in the a.m. for NST and then one later in the afternoon for the ultrasound. It's a nice 20 or so minute walk there so I'll be getting plenty of exercise those days when I have two appointments Shocked

Melissa, nobody has made a peep about diet. Naturally, I'm trying to take out as much salt as I can, which is hard as I love it Embarassed but didn't hear anything about protein or sweets. I also started taking my cayenne/garlic pills again, both are known to reduce BP. I'm also adding cinnamon to my oatmeal in the a.m. as that's also known to reduce BP but all of these "natural" remedies take time and I'll probably not start seeing results for at least a few weeks if that so I'll be sure to up the protein, which I already get a good deal of, but the carbs and sweets will be tough... especially carbs. EVERYTHING I eat seems high in carbs crying

Yay!! Glad it was just fine Smile

Also, we'll be on almost the same schedule LOL I took this coming week off all appointments and will be checking in with my dr.'s via phone and fax. I told them I needed a week off to celebrate Halloween LOL After this week though I get the awesome weekly ultrasounds and perinatologist visit, weekly OB visit, weekly NST (hoping they will NST/US back to back) and I also get to squeeze in the diabetic specialist for insulin. Yay! Because having other kids and a life isn't busy enough.

That happened with me with my first Amelia- almost exact bp's too. At 37.5 weeks I was induced because she was not going to grow anymore. She was 5.3 and perfect. I believe they called it growth restricition due to my bp's being elevated for so long. Hope everything turns out well for you too. Little is okay- just remember they only will ever get bigger! Hugs try not to worry too much, it will only make you bp worse.

I am glad they are not blowing you off - making you worry and then leaving you high and dry. I can only imagine the stress of having to take the little man to all those appointments. There is a small silver lining to having your dh at home. Hugs Mama! The goal is a healthy baby and mom... hang in there!

bug hug I hope things go smoothly. I swear, these kids like to be dramatic so that we don't take them for granted. Hang in there.
