Ughh,.. today has been a freaking nightmare.... female issues, intense bleeding. Kinda normal for me but, Ughh, I'm just tired of it.

The only thing that normally helps (worked like a charm last time) is a "re-set" ie: getting pregnant and having a baby. I do NOT due HBC,... I am at a loss as far as options go?
My life is too chaotic to even think of being pregnant right now not to mention the fact that it takes time and loads of meds.
Today, I am actually wondering how long before I may need a hysterectomy.... I'm frustrated and feeling pretty emotional.

Anyone else with these issues and what if anything helped?

I'm having issues too right now. Actually, I haven't been 'normal' since I had Audrey a year ago. I bled for 4 months solid PP and now my periods are really heavy, clots, and painful and they never were before.

My OB is suggesting an endometrial ablation for me or trying an IUD. I'm leaning towards the ablasion right now but have to talk to him more about it first.

*hugs* I hope you're feeling better soon!

I had to send hubby out for thick disposible pads yesterday,.. I am NOT happy... I'm pouring through everything.

I have PCOS and my body reset back to a nice "normal" (whatever that is) regular period for the first year and then things started to slowly relapse... I just told Hubby yesterday that we either really need to get pregnant soon or, I am seriously considering a hysterectomy... I can not handle this anymore. I can not parent when I can not even move without making a huge mess.

I don't have PCOS or anything but I can sympathize. I got on HBC because I was having horrific cycles after having Pirate - I'd have it for a week (and midway through, start passing out because my iron levels would drop from blood loss - Floradix was the only thing that helped) and then have two weeks of hell and then get it again for another week. Single mom, not with anybody - can't get pregnant - so HBC for regulation reasons was what I did.

At any rate, massive hugs. It suuuucks. Sad

I have female issues, due to cancer however.

One thing I am wondering Melanie is your age? I have seen women transitioning into menopause (which is appx a 13 year process) and they have bad flooding and such.

If you decide to do vitex, I do stock in my cart made from berries grown at my parents house.
But I did not write to spam, just wanted to ask about your age and if it is menopause related.
A homeopath treated a friend who had frightening flooding with a remedy made from snake venom. After several months this woman had totally normal cycles. totally amazing!

yeah,.. I don't think I am near menopause. I'm not even 34 till fall.
This is all related to the PCOS and is common for the condition but, less then stellar to deal with and shuts my life down. I am getting ready to start TTC again and once I have another baby. My body will reset for another couple years. This is all do to the hormonal imbalance which I guess could very well mimic menopause symptoms as those ALSO come form hormone imbalances.

I have major female issues too when not preggy. I was so hopeful that after I had my son that things would change, as I heard many people say that's what would happen but about two months after my son was born I went right back to my heavy clotting issues. I'm hopeful again that this time will be different and the clots will be gone after this baby. I can take the heavy flow... it's the clotting that kills me. I've been put on pills when I was younger, they even put me on depo years and years ago but I had awful side effects to it. I'll be watching this. I've tried vitex and a bunch of other herbs over the years but have yet to find any relief (except for being preggy which brings it's own discomforts LOL).

Yeah I had a 2.5 year rebalance after having Liam. I was more regular then I had ever been in my life but, no clotting, no gushy. Just, nice and light and 3-4 days. Part of my issue is I do not cycle regular though. I often have to induce cycles every 3 months. With wanting a baby, I now need to start vigorous med cycles and everything will even out. Once I am done with this round of baby making... I am seriously thinking of the Mirena.

Update to this thread. I was diagnosed in December with a Hypothyroidism. My cycles since being on meds have almost reversed.
I still don't cycle regular but,.. when I do it is FAR FAR FAR from the heavy issues I was having.
