Crystal is a werewolf but in the books I didnt think she was engaged to anyone. In the book she belongs to a "town" of werewolf's run by a guy who has/had a smallish thing for Sookie. Her and Jason and end up married and pregnant. The other thing is that by like book 3 i think Jason ends up getting bite by one and starts changing into a half werewolf, I think it was before he and Crystal got married.
The show is taking so many different twists then the book (i dont expect it to follow exactly) and expanding on a LOT of the characters that were only minor in the book.

Ok, here's the spoiler on Crystal and the HotShot community:
They are werePanthers. They are all inbreeds over in HotShot and in the book, Crystal is a skank. They are going out of their way to make the audience like her though - maybe because of what happens to her in later books. It will be more sad if you like her. But Crystal isn't engaged in the books, but the guy that is her fiance in the show actually kidnaps Jason in the 4th book and turns him into a half man half werePanther to keep Crystal from loving him. I think that's part of how they'll end the season, with Jason being taken. |

I think we have a *big* clue as to why Bill is with Sookie. Her blood gave him some pretty kick ass not burning up in sunlight powers.....
and the beheading.... awesome.

No but my jaw fell open and dh looked and said WTH!??!! That launched a good 10min discussion on who's who and why they are doing what they are doing. At the end of he was cracking up saying I was nuts for watching it.

LOL same here. Karl sits there and freaks through it all. I look at him like he's nuts. I don't freak during the girl girl stuff and neither does he. Still nothing compares to the Bill and Sam scene. That was hot.
