Well, 10 to 12 anyway.

So, got home to find my freezer had frosted right up and ice had forced the door open. Not sure how long it's been like that but basically I had to eat the ice cream coz it was mush. And I just threw 3 bags of meat out, some I suppose I could have cooked but wouldn't have been able to eat it and there was a TON of fresh fish that didn't smell good so I really didn't want to trust anything there. Sad

So now it's nearly midnight and I'm defrosting it to get the few decent things back in before they defrost. Sad

Oh no! When we first got our freezer, 'someone' didn't make sure it was closed all the way and I had to defrost it by hand and take everything out and then back in.

What a way to spend an evening. Hope you're able to get everything back in in time.

I cheated a little. Poured boiling water over the ice that was pushing the door and shoved everything that I could save back in.

It will need a decent defrost soon but it has ensured I have less than half the stuff in it than what I used to!

I'm not buying anything else frozen until I use all this stuff and properly defrost it though.

Sounds like a plan. Isn't it 1:30 in the morning there?

0.26 right now (according to my computer clock Wink)

Will be off to bed soon, found out my parent's neighbour had a baby girl today so been speaking to another neighbour to get the goss as most of us hadn't even known she was pregnant (I noticed 2 weeks ago, my parents had no idea & she was due this week. LOL)

What a terrible loss to have to throw all that food away...but at least you were able to eat the ice cream! LOL!!

Unless it is really old, our freezers are frost-free/self-defrosting. I do recall having to defrost my freezer every so often when I was younger, though, and it was a pain.
