I say buy more lots of prefolds and cute covers, they will go through them so fast and you will have so much laundry with twins you wont want to do the laundry matching with the doublers and prints on knit fitteds (and I have never heard great things about kissaluvs but some people like them). Blue Lake diapers makes great AIO's and they are reasonably priced too.
As for GMD, I think periwinkly edges are a better buy because you can fold them down to fit the orange size (unless you have preemies) and then fold them back up when you need the bigger size.

The twins I babysat who were cloth diapered used the xs fuzzibunz which are TINY and then went up through the sizes, but spent a lot of time in the Mediums and never used larges. They were 5 lbs each when they started daycare and the xs FB's fit well and their mom loved them for how fast/easy pockets were with two nb's. Easy to add absorbency at night. |
lol, that sort of thing astounds me! machi was born 9lbs 7oz but was in nb dipes for almost 5mo. cady was 7lbs 7oz and in nb dipes for 7, and is still in smalls at 28mo lol. _________________ -Jenn , wahm to Machi , Cady , Nora and Liam , Gucci , and wife to John

i really liked nana's bottoms AIOs for kara- she was able to wear them pretty soon (she was 6 lbs 11oz, 19 inches for reference) prob couple weeks old (and i might have tried sooner if she wasn't jaundiced and had to have formula and nasty formula poos ). they were the only "true" newborn size we had, others were still huge. we used those and tinkle traps prefitteds and bsww. i really liked how trim the nanas bottoms were in the crotch. (i do have 6 still in case you're interested too) _________________ ~lisa

i like the look of the lb and sb alot. pb&e does dipes as well as prefolds? |
Yes, they don't have closures and it makes them more adjustable. I'll get you a pic. |
So, are these like BSRB, scuttlebutts, raven tree etc... where it's a fitted and you use a snappi? I'd love to see a pic too as I've never seen them. I was on the PB&E newsletter and I can't remember the last one I've gotten and last I checked she's not even stocking _________________ Janet aka Ama

which size is that? I thought it went from orange, yellow, red, brown and green... is that like the yellow size which would be a small? _________________ Janet aka Ama

HPC, spoiled rotten, ABB and Kukae are true nb size dipes. Olivia wore them for 1-2 weeks (she was 9lbs with super skinny legs)
I adore BBH, Tush, FCB, and Elbee as they still fit now at 12lbs 3oz _________________ Amy, mama to Carter (1/06), Olivia (2/10), and Genvieve (9/08) |

I am in a similar boat as you, seems like a lot of wahms that were around when E was in diapers aren't anymore. I really loved my Sugar Plum Baby diapers.
I am working on a custom order from Christine at Esbaby, and I have some KL0s and I am buying some odds and ends here and there.
Of course you are going to have twice as much baby to diaper as I am. _________________ Aimee- Mama to Elise 1/06, and Maxwell 7/10

aimee i am just mind boggled at the thought of how many diapers I will need. Luckily I have 2dz infant prefolds and a dozen prefitteds saved from machi and cady once they grow into them. Cady grew into them at a year HAHAHAHAHAHA. _________________ -Jenn , wahm to Machi , Cady , Nora and Liam , Gucci , and wife to John
