Bethy of Jimmy Riddles is dyeing me up some black yarn. Originally I was going to knit this poncho I like ponchos, feel they cover up all manner of lumps and bumps and are cosy without being too hot in the spring/autumn.
But
I've found this sweater and really like it. Not sure how good it will look on my ever expanding frame though.

So my conundrum. Do I carry on with the poncho and get more yarn later for the sweater or go for the sweater first?

lol, I have a fantastic craft light where I do most of my knitting and don't really pay much attention if it's just plain stockinette. I like to just sit and knit. And the black will be a semi so hopefully not too terrible to see.

I vote for the sweater, too. I need to be able to use my arms.

Hmmm, now eyeing up http://www.ravelry.com/projects/RosiG/wrapped-about for my Selah Bella Over Coffee instead. I've still not found *the* project for that.

I'm struggling to decide. It's one of those things I love the look of, but would I actually wear it??? And I don't want to work up that lovely Selah and not use it. I want the striping to be vertical for the Selah though and that would work on the RosiG if it's wrapped around, be vertical at the back and if left open the front striping would be diagonal. It's a strong contender.

Think I might see if I wear the shawl I've just finished and if I do then go for the RosiG

I've not done any seaming yet, avoiding sewing at all costs. I'm wondering if I could just graft - I love kitchener Heart

Now, do I have the right amount of yarn - 10 skeins/2200yds, I think Bella is worsted....pattern calls for DK.
