Great colors! I finished my first and have started on the second. No pictures yet though since it is for my MIL and she regularly checks my flickr account. _________________ Mimi, mom to Sky (12/24/08) & Olivia (7/3/12)

Is it too late for me to play too?
I want to make a large out of this:
and use natural for the trim.
This yarn is gaia worsted will it be fine to go ahead and use the size 10 needles?
I want to cast on today or tomorrow and I might have a lot of questions as this will be my first big project. I have done hats and scarves with no problems. _________________ Erica

Join on in! That will make a beautiful shawl.
ETA: I would still use size 10 needles. _________________ Jennifer-

So I have a question...
I am on the eyelet rows and on the part where it says to slip as if knitting, slip as if purling, and then knit them both together, do I knit in the front or the back? _________________ Erica

I think it is like knitting through the back. I usually leave them on the right needle and slip the left needle into the front of them and knit. _________________ Jennifer-

Those look great, Jennifer!
I'm still working on mine. I've almost knitted back to the point where I had to frog, so by the end of today, I might actually be making progress on it. _________________ Kari

i started my 3rd on friday -- this one is out of a semisolid cotton-linen yarn. my mom loved hers so much she asked me to make one for a friend of hers at work who is retiring
on the ssk: i was having a lot of difficulty with that and my LYS owner taught me a different way of doing it, though it probably looks a bit different... i slip a stitch, knit the next and then pull the slipped stitch over the knit stitch, decreasing them to 1 stitch. _________________ my name is bond, my name is bond. james bond, james bond
