I like elastic for it's ease of use, especially for my 3 year old who is PL'd...for DD i like either a narrow knit i-cord, or a crocheted cord, but I feel the crocheted is more flexible, and holds better than the i-cord while still looking similar. I can't stand thick i-cords, and while i don't mind twisted or braided, to me they distract from the longies b/c of the way the colors pop out more. like a pp said though...if I REALLY love an item, it wouldn't stop me from buying it, and I wouldn't hesitate to ask a mama if she would make something else if I really wanted an alternate cord. _________________ ~*Kelley*~

| I'm all about lucet cords right now. They're what Kim of WSK and Morwenna of MM make. They look like a thin i-cord, but are much quicker to do and take less yarn. |

Twisted, I think it looks fun, or maybe I just like the fact that I use a power drill to make mine, lol.
Where can I see a pic of this "lucet cord"? |

I prefer a thicker crocheted cord. I use two strands to crochet mine and I think it give the thicker appearance but is still stretchier and holds better like the thinner cords. On my skinny little guy I just can't get i-cords tight enough and they get really bulky when you double knot them.
I do have 2 pairs of longies that I made thick braided cords but I only do those if I really want a variety of colors to stand out in the cord. For these two pairs it makes sense. |

I like lucet and thin i-cords. Elastic is always good too! _________________ Bekah, SAH crafting mama to my 3 blues and baby pink!

I love the way a crochet cord holds...it's more grippy than an i-cord. My second choice would be a thin i-cord. I do like twisted...but prefer to do them myself as I want a *TIGHT* twist. _________________ ~Monica~
