About Me
I'm Amanda, mama to
2 littles and wife to my wonderful husband of 7 1/2 years. My story
isn't glamorous really. My Mom taught me basic sewing when I was 7.
Since then it's been a constant hobby, going on 22 years now. I met and
married my husband in June of 2002, we were engaged shortly after
9/11/01. Being as how he was in the military, we wanted to get married
right away as there was serious talk of him deploying.We decided not to wait long to try for a baby
because deployment orders came in. Early 2004 our daughter was born.
Backing up a bit, being the parsimonious person I am, I thought I could surely sew up some
prefold cloth diapers to use. At that point an internet search opened
up a whole new world of what cloth diapers were today! I've been making
diapers for over 6 years drawing out patterns completely by hand. I love sewing for my kids as well especially one of a kind treasures in holiday themes. It's history from there. I started and selling cloth diapers 5 years ago. Other hobbies include gardening both summer and
winter and my dairy goats which I milk twice daily, everyday and make
cheese and all sorts of yummy stuff. I love cooking and crafting as
