It's been brought to my attention that a package which was received by a customer recently smelled very much like smoke. I assure you, I do not smoke nor does anyone in my family. We know of no one who smokes and smoking is never allowed in my home. However, it dawned on me that any smell of smoke on any of my items may have come from the VERY bad wildfires we've had here in Northern California the past few weeks. The smoke that had lingered in our area for the past 4 weeks was to the point where the air was unhealthy to breath at times. I have gone through and personally done a smell test on each item and I cannot smell any smoke. My inventory is kept in sealed bins and I am personally quite senstive to the smell of smoke. If I felt that anything remotely had any smoke smell I would not hesitate to wash every bit of inventory and fabric. With that said, if you have received a package that smelled of smoke, I do apologise. I have considered washing all inventory items but since I cannot tell myself that they smell of smoke I do not feel the need to wash hundreds of items. Unfortunately it didn't occur to me at the time of packaging items in their shipping envelope that the poor air quality would fill the shipping envelope and I really am quite upset that I didn't think of it.
We have had clear skies for almost a week now and with firefighters efforts at keeping the blazes somewhat under control and getting some of the fires out, I do not forsee that the forecast will call for anymore smokey skies. But again, if you have receievd a package that smelled of smoke I do apologize.
