When and Where purchased: Trade Specific Item: A custom website for handmade soaps. Customer Service: Cat is awesome!!!! We worked up a trade so that she could get some handmade soaps and I could get a website - but she went way out and above to make this an awesome site. Not only did she build the site, she kept in constant contact to make sure that I liked the colors, designs, etc. Since then, she has been there every step of the way if I had questions. We shared ims and emails and she was very patient and made sure I was happy with my site. I would recommend her any day! Product review: I gave Cat the colors scheme and a style I was looking for. Once she had all her info she went from there with little to no direction and produced something I just love! She also made me a few extra buttons at no cost. When and where purchased: Through e-mail with Cat, beginning 6/27/06 Specific Item: I had originally asked Cat to redesign my logo. I also worked with her regarding web design for a congo. Customer Service: When I asked Cat to redesign my logo, she sent me a screen shot of what she had done. She changed the colors of the logo and the stripes on my page slightly to a “more chic” design. In her e-mail, she stated “if you don’t like it, that’s okay,” which I took as permission to move on. She never sent me an invoice for payment or asked me for money, so I did not send her any. In August, I contacted her again about designing the HC for a congo that I am involved with. She began work on a logo. By the time I got her first draft, I had seen a template she had for sale on WAHM Originals. The similarities to my website (which I designed myself) are shocking. The stripes are the same basic colors, they are in the same order, the text section is yellow and the logo section is purple. I e-mailed her about this and she denied the similarities, but said she would take it down “out of respect.” The template is no longer for sale. At this point, the members of the congo decided we did not want to support a designer who would knowingly try to sell something that was essentially someone else’s design. I told Cat that we decided we would not be using her services and asked for a partial or full refund, since she had only made one rough draft of a logo. She denied this request, stating that her policy is no refunds. Product Review: The original reworking of my website was nice, but not what I was looking for. The rough draft of a logo for the congo was okay, too, but not very professional looking. My main concern as far as Cat’s product is that she was trying to sell essentially my design as her own.
