When purchased: Jul 13, 2008 Item: Custom Spot: Flirty Skirt Customer service: EXTREMELY poor. I received the skirt and asked for a refund. She replied that all sales are final and that she followed the skirt measurements that I gave to her. I AM NOT the seamstress!!!!!!!!! I asked her if she could lengthen the skirt and she agreed. 3 weeks later, she replied that all her sales are final and that she won't be fixing the skirt. Product review: I chose a material that she told me only had 1 yard. and she needed 1 1/2 yards of material to make the skirt from. She asked if it would be ok, if the skirt were a little shorter and I agreed. When I gave her the measurement of 16" that was from where I wanted the skirt to sit to right above my knee. When I received the skirt, it barely covers my butt and looks like a mini skirt. What she did NOT take into account is that I took a measurement in the FRONT, not the back. Your BUTT does take up inches of the skirt, so she should have accounted for that and added in several inches. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!!! These clothing pieces are not meant for fluffier women. It will fit and look fabulous if you are thin and skinny. 2008-09-13 01:48:30 Seller response: My policies clearly state no refunds are given for custom orders. It is the buyer's responsibility to read these things. I remade 3 out 4 items into brand new pieces as quickly as I could. Yes, I did say that the skirt could be made with less material and told the customer over instant messenger how to measure. Again, she filled out a form which said she'd like 16.5" length and that is exactly what I made. While I am the seamstress, I cannot be there with my online customers and have to trust them to give the correct measurements. Again, this customer never came to me and said she needed clarification for measuring. In all 4 feedbacks it was failed to be recognized that I created 3 completely new items from 3 other pieces after her refusal to let me make the simple fixes needed for her other pieces. I feel I went above and beyond what I had to do, and I did reach my limit by the last piece; despite making exactly what was asked for, I did offer to find a way to lengthen the skirt. After 3 weeks of demands from this customer I was no longer willing to work with her. I have had a range of "skinny" women and "plus size" women and not one other person has has an issue with any of my pieces other than this particular customer. Again, I feel I went well over what was expected of me to try to remedy the situation but after the weeks of demands and attitude from this customer I could not handle anymore. 2008-09-13 03:56:08 Buyer resolution: I know of at least one other woman who DOES have an issue with her clothing. However, this person is afraid of retaliation and prefers to remain anonymous. So it is NOT true that she has no issues with her items. In addition, the seller was the one who offered to fix the piece and then later reneged. There were NO other "demands" made from me. However, the seller offered an entire RANGE of excuses about why she couldn't fix the piece in a timely manner. The only "demand" that I made of the seller was to ship my items back to me promptly after OVER 3 weeks of waiting. The seller is the seamstress. In a skirt, there are always allowances made for the BACK of the skirt for the buttocks area. There were NO allowances made, which is why the skirt fell MUCH shorter than it should have. Product review: I asked her if she could fix the top since I was so unhappy with the way it looked. The side of the top between the top shirring and the under the bust shirring creates a bubble effect....which also makes you look as you have boobs under your arms as well. 2008-09-13 01:47:51 Seller response: Again, my policies are very clear that I do not give refunds for custom orders. When purchased: Jul 13, 2008 Item: Custom Spot: Little White Sundress Customer service: I contacted the seller and asked for a full refund. She refused stating that her policy is all sales final. I asked her to convert this dress to a flirty skirt, which she agreed to and took her 3 weeks to complete. I also asked her to return the excess material. She replied that there are only unusable scraps left so there was nothing to return. The dress was 60" in length from top to bottom. I don't understand how there could only be scraps left from a 60" length dress. The skirt is 21" long (including the waistband), you do the math. Product review: The material is beautiful. The length was good. HOWEVER, I will once again say that this style of dress looks great, if you're a size small. It made me look as if I were 5 months pregnant and I'm NOT pregnant. In addition, she shows her example dress as being able to change the strap style. However, the straps on the dress were TOO SHORT to change any style other than shoulder ties. I couldn't criss cross the straps b/c they were too short. They are also only sewn down the middle and not the edges. The straps have an unfinished look. 2008-09-13 01:46:31 Seller response: Just like with the other responses, my policies clearly state no refunds for customs. The customer was aware that Tropical Storm Fay hit my town and of a large order I had to complete. I remade 3 out of 4 items as quickly as I could. The only issue I was made aware of was the straps not being long enough. They are not sewn down the middle, they are sewn next to the long edge and across the short edges, as I do with all straps. As with the other items I offered to fix this. It was a simple fix to just remake new, longer straps. The customer is incorrect though, as these dresses are clearly listed to be 28" in length, not 60". I made a completely new item, a 21" Flirty Skirt from this dress. The extra material, which there was none of, was demanded of me. In my opinion, she got a $35 skirt for a $35 dress, an even trade; so had there even been any extra material it would have been left at my discretion if I wanted to give it away. I have had women of all sizes love this style dress, and I feel it unfair to act as if it is my fault the particular style is not liked by the customer. 2008-09-13 03:47:58 Buyer resolution: I specifically asked the seller if the dress has a "maternity" dress look to it b/c I do NOT want a dress that does that; she said no it would not make me look like it's a maternity dress. I was NEVER told that it would be left to the seller's discretion. It was only later when I asked her to ship all my items, did she tell me that there were only scraps and she wouldn't give them to me. In addition, if I PAID for the dress then the material would also belong to myself; no longer to the seller, as the item would no longer belong to her, REGARDLESS of the value of the item. However, I am NOT the seamstress and in addition, there were NO directions on exactly WHERE to measure from X to Y. On many of the measurements, I guessed where I was supposed to measure. When I asked, she replied it would be fine. It WASN'T!!!!!! I asked if she could convert it into a flirty skirt, which she agreed to. It took her 3 weeks to complete and send back. Product review: The fabric is beautiful. BUYERS BE WARNED!!!!!! If you are not a size small, this top will NOT be flattering to you. I am a size 8 and this style top made me look as if I were 5 months pregnant. NOT something I want to look like, since I'm NOT pregnant. When I received this top, I was extremely disappointed. I gave the seller my measurements yes, but there were NO directions where EXACTLY to measure FROM and TO. The sleeves ended up sitting right in my arm pits, instead of slightly below. The shirring that is supposed to sit under the bust was instead above my bust. When I rearranged the top so that the shirring was correctly placed, I ended up with a VERY low cut off the shoulder top; which is NOT what I wanted. 2008-09-13 01:07:57 Seller response: I did indeed say no to a full refund as it is clearly stating in my policies no refunds are given on custom orders. I was never notified by the customer that she had issues measuring, and had she asked I would have given her more clarification. I never said anything in regards to it not being fine re: not knowing how to measure. Customer was given a form to fill out and I assumed everything was fine as she filled it out and sent it back to me. Everything was made to those measurements. The arms were done in the style I always do for this top. As for the under the bust shirring, I admitted that it was a measuring oversight on my behalf. Since refunds are not an option, I offered to move the under the chest line shirring down and even redo the sleeves. Customer refused. She did ask for it to be changed into a Flirty Skirt and I did that. It did take time as I remade 3 our of 4 of her items into completely new pieces. This cannot be done overnight. On top of that, I had a large order to finish which she was aware of, Tropcial Storm Fay hit my city and I lost power many times, as well as having a sick child. I took apart the 3 items and remade them as quickly as I could.
