I had asked for 3 colors on the outside, purple, lime and blue. I had also inquired as to whether or not I could get the bedbug in a tritone style. She explained that she doesn't do night diapers in tritone as she doesn't feel comfortable having dye next to baby's skin after being urinated on as she would worry about chemicals. Understandably we agreed that natural was the way to go. We chose 3 colors for the exterior, and when the WAHM had dyed the purple, she wasn't sure if it would be dark enough, and even sent a pic to be sure!

I saw Bonnie was offering some slots of OBV bed sheets in various sizes at K&F but I didn't
have the money to make the entire purchase at that time, so I e-mailed her to ask if I could put
down a deposit on a set a of California King Sheets that I needed by March 10th. I sent $50 on
January 31st as partial payment on the sheets. I made another payment of $50 a week later and
Bonnie said it was fine to make the final payment of $65 right before she shipped, for a total of
$165 for the sheets which included shipping.

I contacted Bonnie each time I made a payment to her and was not kept up to date of the progress unless I initiated contact. I didn't find out until after the sheets had been mailed that she updates via her blog so perhaps my expectation of being notified of progress was unrealstic or a lack of understanding on my part.
Bonnie knew I needed the sheets by March 10th for my husbands birthday. I mentioned it several times during our emails and by March 3rd with no email from her about a ship date and no pay pal shipping notice, I PM'd her here on HC and told her I was getting nervous about the sheets not making it on time I also sent an email to which she responded promptly. She said she was waiting on a shipment of
lastin to arrive to finish my order and it was taking longer than she expected.
I received an email stating she was shipping "today" which was March 4th. The package was not shipped til March 5th according to the mailing label and her updated blog. I have spoken with Bonnie regarding this discrpency and she stated that she didn't get the pay pal notice of payment til it was too late to go to the post office. She should not have stated that she was shipping "today" if she in fact was not shipping til she received full payment.
March 10th came and I had no sheets and no delivery confirmation to check on so I had to email Bonnie again and ask for a DC# which she provided.She said the PO had mis-routed the package.
The sheets did arrive safely March 11th, 1 day late of the deadline I set back on January 31st .I am not pleased that Bonnie cut it so close, running out of lastin and delaying the shipment. I feel she should have had the package mailed well in advance of the March 10th deadline and that the lastin for my sheets should have been set aside from the start. I
understand that if the post office had not misrouted the package, it would have made it to me on time. But then again is the package had been mailed in a more timely fashion, the sheets also would have arrived to me by the agreed upon deadline.
I was not consulted regarding the trim color for the top sheet and it doesn't match or coordinate with the sheets. The sheets ended up a pinky/mauve color and the trim is primary red.
I feel like Bonnie dropped the ball on this one as far as customer service goes both by not staying well supplied and not shipping in well in advance of the deadline. Had the sheets been finished ahead of the deadline, which they could not be because she was out of lastin, they would have made it by the deadline also.
ETA: Bonnie sent me $10.61 to compensate me for the dye since I will have to redye them to get the color I want. This will not pay for the dye and shipping or my time. I accepted this offer though it does not make up for them being late and the time it will take to redye them. The satin trim will have to be removed and hours spent dyeing. Never at any time did Bonnie say she wouldn't start my sheets til I paid in full. Had she mentioned that I would have paid immediately to insure the sheets arrived by the time I needed them. I DID mislink the diaper but the fact remains that the sheets are a shade of pink at best not burgundy, wine,brown or anything other dark shade.
Product Review:
The sheets are very soft and pretty and seem to be well made but I haven't slept on them or washed them yet. They are NOT the color I asked for. I told Bonnie LWI was ok so I expected the variations that dyeing method produces. The sheets are more pink than wine, mauve at best. I feel like she skimped on the dye, producing a
much lighter shade than I requested. I wish I had saved the extra $10 for dyeing and dyed them myself.

The sheet set ordered was specified to me to be dyed in LWI style in burgandy at first. The diaper Teresa linked to above is not the diaper she linked me to, that diaper is wine and cranberry, from last spring. The diaper she linked me to was from Valentine's Day 2009, and is red, brown and burgandy - http://www.kandfshops.com/images/wahm/12/Chocolate-cherrycordial.jpg, which she said she would like. The sheets were dyed in LWI using only those same three colors - red, burgandy and brown. LWI dyeing always produces unique results, with lighter and darker shades of the colors used. The sheets are a mixture of light and dark shades of those three colors. I used a half a jar each of the three colors, reulting in the use of a full jar and a half of dye (normally when dyeing you are using teaspoon fulls of dye, this was a full 3 ounces of powdered dyes used), to produce a strong color result. The satin trim is not made in brown or burgandy; red was the closest match to the sheet colors. I have offered to redye the sheets for Teresa, but she was not interested She has opened up paypal disputes due to item being significantly different than described (this was a custom, so there is no description of the item). I spoke to paypal, and the rep told me that paypal will not settle disputes over color.
As a rule, I do not begin a custom order until it is paid in full. i made an exception for Teresa and finished this order before it was fully paid for. On the morning of the 4th of march, I let her know the sheets were ready to ship and she said she would pay asap. Payment receipt was received after popstal business hours, so I shipped first thing the next morning. Once shipped, i do not check the confirmation numbers of packages unless a problem arises. when Teresa emailed me on the 10th to ask about her package, I looked up the DC# and the message there was that the post office had misrouted the package and it was now on its way to its intended destination. I emailed her that information. The sheets arrived the following day. Had the post office not misrouted the package it would have been there in advance of the day she needed it.
After declining my offers to redye the sheets for her, Teresa told me that she would consider it fair if I refunded her for the dye fee and conpensate her for her time and trouble. I inquired as to the compensation for time and trouble and did not get a response, so I refunded her for the dye fee as requested. |

Maybe the best I've ever gotten, even here on hc! I contacted Bonnie in a panic, because I had intende to give my kids waldorf dolls for christmas with matching outfits for the kids, and it was already December (or almost Dec, can't remember) when I discovered I was not able to go trhough with my plans as originally expected. I asked Bonnie if she could make the doll and children's clothes for me. She agreed to, even though she hadn't made a lot of doll clothes at this point, and didn't have a pattern for a hoodie (which was what I wanted). I ended up being able to get the doll clothes from the dollmaker, but Bonnie suggested she dye them along with the children's clothes to get the colors to match up. Bonnie came up with a pattern for the hoodies for my kids, sewed them beautiful clothing, ended up making a pocket for one of the doll tops unexpectedly, dyed the doll clothes to match, and got me everything in plenty of time for christmas. All my worries melted away once I started working with Bonnie.

Bonnie goes above and beyond! I wasn't sure if I wanted obv or if I would be happy with poly-velour, since I wanted to keep the price a bit more manageable. When I asked Bonnie if thought the materials felt very different, she sent me a sample of each to decide for myself! Then when I checked in with her to see how things were going, she said she was waiting to send things out because, although everything was dyed and ready, she wasn't happy with the green dye in my daughter's pants. She wanted to wait for new dyes to come in. She re-dyed the pants over and over to get the color to match the embroidery on the shirt perfectly! Her customer service is really way more than I could ever have expected.

bonnie was moving and still willing to take on a custom order after the shorties i'd wanted from kandf shops sold to someone else. she kept me informed of the status of my order, as she had time for updates, and i let her know that she could take her time, without pressure. despite moving and dealing with everything that comes with that, she still got my order to me exceptionally fast. she let me know she'd made the board shorts a little longer than we had originally agreed upon, and offered to either shorten the one leg before working the second, or making them a tad bit longer with no additonal cost. since the set came with an embroidered shirt, she not offered me anything that was in her gallery but said i could choose a design from a website she has access to that offers TONS of designs. i chose one from the site that i'd been in love with but haven't seen very many people offer, so i was really happy about that.

this set is just awesome! at first i thought the shorties looked too tight but i love the fit, and of course, with all things wool, they stretch to fit the bebe's body shortly after they've experienced some wear. the shirt is awesome! i love the embroidery and bonnie did a wonderful job hand-dying the shirt to coordinate with the shorties. the length of them is perfect, too...not too long, but long enough for him to wear next summer if need be. (of course, i'm going to try to keep in wool shorts even after he PLs because they're just so cute, but that's beside the point!)

It works well overnight for my moderate to heavy wetter. The overall fit is a little loose around the legs due to the stretchiness of the material, the thickness of the soakers and the narrowness of the crotch. But as it is nighttime diaper, it is not really an issue. |

i noticed a posting in hyena spam about a set she was thinking of doing with a carrot diaper, carrot embroidered shirt and carrot print pants. she agreed to do pumpkin longies and matching hat in place of the pants, and i added two OC/BV diapers along with it. this happened in July, and my order came a few weeks ago.

really excllent service!! bonnie kept me updated the entire time, worked really hard to get me what i wanted, sent pics along the way and kept me informed when the BV took awhile to arrive. there were some problems with they dyeing on two of the diapers and bonnie went above and beyond in redoing the dyes multiple times to create the effect i was hoping for.
ETA: i received two more diapers from Bonnie and they are absolutely perfect! one kiwi print outer/BV inner, one pineapple print outer/BV inner. they fit ds like a glove and he kept rubbing the BV on his face, it's that soft. these diapers hold up really well to my medium to heavy wetter, and the removeable soakers allow me to customize absorbtion.

The tester was perfetly sewn and the absorbancy was perfect for a trainer. The material was soft and stretchy. The fit was a little off, but because it was a tester I don't consider that a bad thing. That's what testers are for. All in all, this was an awesome transaction. |
