Initially great! She always replied quickly or in an adequate amount of time. Since she was waiting on my yarn (it was being custom dyed by Zen String) I was nervous that I was tying up her time waiting on that but she assured me she was quite busy and it was no rush. Also, she mentioned numerous times that once my yarn came in that I would have priority on turnaround time. I didn't even expect that and would have been more than willing to wait since she waited so long for my yarn to arrive.
Once my yarn arrived 10.22.2007, she got to work really quickly and kept me up to date almost daily until 10.24.2007 when she said she was working on the second leg. Then communication dropped. It wasn't until around 11.2.2007 that I remembered that I hadn't heard from her and it was only odd to me because she was so great with emails before. So I shot her a quick "hows it going" email, that day with no response. Then I sent another email two days later (11.5) and she replied that day that she was swamped and apologetic about the delay, that the alternating rows was a pain but that she only had a few more rows to go and it would be out in the mail that day (11.5).
When I didn't get shipping notification I sent an email on the 12th that wasn't responded to and another sent 11.15. I sent the third email on the 19th stating that I was going to file with paypal and she replied quickly that they were done and being mailed that day. I received shipping notification as well.
I was in no way trying to rush her. I reiterate, I had no problem waiting my turn but the promises that the work was done and ready to shop that weren't kept made me anxious that she wasn't going to come through on the deal and that's why I had made numerous attempts to contact her. If she would have said it was going to take a month or so, I would have had NO PROBLEM waiting.
They were received today, well packaged.
Product review:
The longies arrived in very good shape. The knitting looks good. The legs are a bit narrow for my taste but every knitter is different. Measurements otherwise are great with some room to grow especially in the inseam which is great.
I would consider doing business with again if I knew the turnaround would be faster but honestly, I spent so much time worrying that I was going to lose out on this deal or that the longies were never sent, that I would need a guarantee that she is caught up on work and communication would be better.
She did send some pretty awesome stitch markers which was a nice bonus. |

Fantastic. I tried to checkout but couldn't because of a quantity issue, emailed Mich and she fixed it ASAP. Then even refunded me the extra I paid because I was uber overzealous in checking out and hit international instead of Priority!!

Excellent! Michelle was so helpful - suggesting yarn for me to send as well as answering questions since I had no idea what I wanted - these being our first pair of totally custom longies. She answered my emails quickly and even suggested books and websites to help me learn to knit when I mentioned that I wanted to knit longies myself someday. I loved the link to her blog too - it was fun seeing the progress.

Carolina striped longies. Was a semi custom pair that she had started for another customer that cancelled their order/didn't pay.
Customer service:
Excellent CS!! I purchased them and contacted her to give her the measurements and received a reply in the same day. All she had to do was work the legs and then prep them. After a few weeks they were done and mailed off to me! I received an email with a link to her blog where I could check in and see the pics and details of my order during the time she was making them. Loved that!
She replied within 24 or less to each email I sent and was super easy to work with! Very friendly and a great mama!
Once I received the longies and they smelled heavily of stale/old smoke. Michelle replied right away to my email and offered a prompt and full refund plus the cost to ship them back to her. She was so excellent about it and was very sorry and didn't know how that happened as no one smokes in her home.
She replied to each email/pm and was super nice about it all. I had my refund in 1 weeks time and am pleased with the CS and prompt refund.
This was my first wahm puchase and first pair of longies. I was sad that I had to return them but very happy about her work and customer service. Customer service is everything!

These longies are unique and cute and oh-so-soft for dd to wear, I love putting her in them knowing her legs are toasty warm and up against something soft as she's crawling over the tile floors at home in particular. They have a bunch of muted colors so they go with virtually anything. The fit is great and stretchy and the knitting is fabulous. |

Michelle went above and beyond for me. I purchased a semi-custom slot for shorties out of some beautiful organic yarn she had found at a local market or fair. Unfortunately, when she went to knit it up, it didn't work at all, so she offered me several options. I picked another yarn, but that didn't work either! Michelle found something else even better, hand-dyed the yarn in the same colors as my original semi-custom purchase, and knit a gorgeous pair of shorties for DD. She also made them into the nighttime style at no extra charge because of all the "hassle" I had been through. In my opinion, she was the one who had all the hassle! I came out ahead with an even nicer yarn than I had originally purchased and a more expensive shorts style.

The knitting is beautiful and flawless. The yarn is so soft, yet it amazingly seems to be virtually pill-free. The nighttime style she knit for me in this yarn is bullet-proof. DD is 4 months old so still nursing at night and wears this all night with no leaks. |
