At first I thought it was good. Emailed back and forth for 3 months before I even received my diapers. At least she emailed back everytime, but there was always another excuse as to why I didn't have my order yet. 2 times I was told they were mailed and they were not. I will not order from her again.

Dipes were ok. They run pretty small which is why I sized up. My 2 L dipes weren't both the same size. On one the inner fleece was maybe not the right kind for an inner, it was super thick and took forever to let moisture through. I resold the dipes within about a month. |

28 Aug I'm asked if 3/4 weeks is okay to wait as embroidery machine is broken. I also order a replacement 'Dancing Skeleton' wrap to replace the one that came with a dress from a previous order as it was too small.
08 Sept Receive email stating that goods will be shipped on 28/09.
08 Sept Receive another email promising me that my order will reach me by my birthday (04/10) so that Ruby can wear her 'Dancing Skeletons' outfit at my birthday lunch (06/10).
22 Sept Contacts me to let me know that she is finishing my order.
01 Oct Tells me that she has forgotten her promise that my order will reach me by my birthday. Asks me when it is. There is a national Royal Mail strike so there is no way they'll get here.
02 Oct Asks me if I would like to pay $50 so that it will reach me in 3 days.
06 Oct Sends out a general email to all customers saying how wonderful we all are for our patience.
27 Oct General email to all saying she is packing her house to move and will be offline for a while.
27 Oct She responds to me saying that my order is "very much finished" and that she hasn't shipped because I haven't told her which way I would like them shipped.
28 Oct She says she will now ship them.
18 Nov She says my order was shipped three weeks ago and that "Customs all over the world is messing with me (well everyone from what I have been told) taking forever. "
21 Nov She tells me that customs have rejected my package as her form was incorrect and that they are sending it back to her. Offers me a refund.
01 Dec Full refund received
I will not purchase items from this WAHM again.

*finally got them Sept 20
*realized right away one was flawed and completely unusable (shot elastic down one entire side), and emailed Summer on Sept 30
*sent it back to her on Oct 1
*there was a mixup with the address she gave me and it got sent back to me, and it was resent on Oct 14
*asked for an update on Nov 13, was told it'd go out at the end of the week along with my shipping refund
*never heard another word about it - no diaper, no refund - emailed again on Nov 28.... was told it was "for sure" going out the next day and I would getting my shipping refund by the end of the week
*never heard anything - no diaper and no refund - emailed AGAIN on Dec 2 and I was getting frustrated
*got a response on Dec 3 asking what my address was again (shouldn't she know this? it's all in the email trail and I sent it with the diaper as well!) and she finally refunded my shipping
*emailed AGAIN on Dec 7, asking for answers and telling her that lying about everything is bad business practice and not fair to the customer... no response
*emailed AGAIN on Dec 10, telling her I wanted answers or a refund.
*finally got an answer on Dec 12, apologizing for the delay and asking which diaper was mine again. She paypal'd me $1 and asked for $.50 in return so she could print a shipping label. I sent the $.50 immediately.
*emailed AGAIN on Dec 16, asking if the diaper went out or when it will go out and that I wanted the diaper by Christmas or I wanted a refund.... no response.
*emailed AGAIN on Dec 17, asking if the diaper went out and if it didn't, I wanted a refund.... finally got a response and was told it was going out at the end of the day, and she printed a shipping label from paypal. She also offered to refund half of my money "when she gets paypal again," because she doesn't have any now. I told her that'd be fine, but I really want the diaper back in my possession first.
*Diaper didn't actually get sent out until Dec. 20 or 21st.
*Finally received my diaper on Dec. 26th and it is a far cry from satisfactory. The leg elastic has been "fixed," but the sewing is shoddy, the back elastic is still completely shot, the fleece is dingy, and there is now a stain on the fleece interior that was NOT there when it was sent to her.
It was nearly HALF A YEAR from the time I ordered from her until the time I got my diaper. I tried so hard to be patient with her. But this was ridiculous. I have never had a poorer experience with any diaper maker or store. I have our entire email trail and pictures if anyone wants to see any specifics. I will NEVER buy from her again.

Horrendous customer service aside, the diaper that does work fits reasonably well even though they run a little small. The price was right and the prints are cute. But even though the diaper works ok for my 24lb 16 month old son, they aren't worth the hassle to get them. |

In the beginning email communication was great--Summer was in constant contact until the final details were made. I emailed her on the 25th of September to ask the status--it was just over 2 weeks after the custom was ordered, but I wanted to know where I was in line (knowing that customs could take up to 4 weeks as stated on the website)--she responded right away saying they would be done that weekend. Status was requested again on October 10th--she said they were to be mailed Monday. I emailed again on the 24th of October concerned that it hadn't arrived. She responded that day saying they were moving and the rest of their stuff was being mailed out that day. Item still not received by November 25th. On November 27th, I received notification that it had been shipped and item was received on Friday December 7th--almost 3 months after I ordered the item. I received no statements or reasons for the late delivery--I would've preferred to have been kept in the loop with everything--even if there were problems, etc. I am a reasonable person and a mom, too--so I certainly understand when issues come up. I just need to know about it. I was very concerned that the diaper was going to be too small once it got here--growth spurts happen in 3 months time. I would've been even more disappointed if she wasn't able to wear it.

I had a lot of questions as a first time mommy and brand to cloth diapering and while I felt like I was bugging the heck out of her with constant emails and questions and posts to LJ, she was never rude or short or made me feel silly or dumb for asking.

I just absolutely LOVE her dipes! She has the most awesome fabric selection out there and they are extremely well constructed. They fit my long skinny girl perfectly and hold her gallons of pee superbly. I honestly cannot say enough good things about her dipes. I have bought them both used and new, and even the used ones hold up extremely well (I'm the third owner to a couple of her AIOs and other than a little bit of pilling you'd never know they are being worn by their third child). |

Product review: The diaper was well constructed. Summer is a fabulous seamstress. Her velcro closure style is amazing, no way could my DD get it off despite having had figured the velcro thing out.
My only issue was that it ran very small. (I'd also bought 3 of them used - they too ran very small.)
When ordered, my DD was 3 months old and just outgrowing small fuzzibunz, but this only fit for a month before the FOE began cutting in to her legs and back.

it runs tiny. wish i had known more about the sizing because it is not true to the measurements on her site (there's no way this thing is 16.5in rise, it barely covers his butt and fits like a 15in rise SEZ) and also wish i had had some idea that it would take a month and a half to get it cause he's already almost outgrown the dang thing. has a stain of some sort on it that was there when i got it.

I sent e-mails to the address which provided payment after not getting a response from the other e-mail provided when the custom diaper information was not filled out properly and a print was not provided. The information was recieved quickly from the paypal address, thus I continued to use it for the several other e-mails I sent out regarding where we were in the diaper making process. There were no e-mails recieved from the paypal address requesting that the other e-mail address be used or we would have with out question and added an apoligy for not being able to get information to the customer sooner.
The measurments on the site are a guide line. They are the middle ground for measurements take from a large group of the same type of diapers. Handmade products are not going to all be exactally the same size every time, even though I would love for them to be. The rise in a medium standard FOE AIO diaper does varry from 16-17.25 inches. The customer was given several updates on when her diaper would be made, and at any time and there were not any false promises made on the time frame that the item would be finished. As well as there being a mark on the item, if this had been brought to our attention (as well as the sizing issue) we would have been MORE than happy to replace the item with a larger size or refund the entire purchase as it states in our policies page. |

Custom Wrap Around Dresses 6 months - 3T

A first she was very accomodating and responding promptly when I choose the fabric and detail of the order. I purchased the custom in early May and was told that it was shipped at the end of may. I had to go on vacation in June, so I was hoping to bring the dresses with us. Summer sent the dresses with priority even though it was supposed to go first class only. I got the DC, but seems like the package was missing, lost at PO. I tried to contact her again upon my return in July because we haven't gotten the dress yet. It takes her a while to research and she finally decided to make the new ones, and I asked it to be bigger size. It took awhile too to make (had sickness in family, etc, totally understandable), but I hate to keep asking for status. Sometimes I had to send email twice because she said she never received them. Finally mid August I asked her again, and she said it was in the mail. After waiting for over a week, I contacted her again, and Summer thought that she might have put the package among all the packages that were ready to be sent without postage and return address. I finally received the dresses (yes, in the package without postage and return address).
To compensate all this hardship, she also made us the matching bloomers, which I thought it was very nice of her. I just hoped that she communicated more, especially if she had not worked on the dresses so I didn't have to keep emailing and bugging her all the time. I know this was not easy for her either, but she tried to make up for the po's lost.

Product review: I sold all my FCB AIOs so I could buy a whole new Sumbuns ruffle leg AIOs stash, that's how much I loved them. They're all we use now, when it comes to pockets/aios. So trim, but so absorbent. These AIOs actually work under "normal" (Carters, Osh Kosh, etc.) baby clothes! I finally have diapers he can wear under blue jeans. I really love the aplix-front cover, too. That thing is waterproof to the max. |

I've purchased from Summer on a couple of co-ops over at lj-coop and decided from there I need to try out some of her goods.
Let me put it this way: I'm very very very satisfied.
For this review I purchased two doll diapers, December 2006 They were so yummy cute I scooped them up and took them to work to show them off. Most of these ladies I worked with have children my age (and grandchildren my daughters age) and know very little about modern fluff. Boy were these ladies excited, too! They are sooooo soft and cuddly. My daughter changes them all the time and changes her babies after her diaper change.
Several of the co-workers were shocked how cute diapers of the 21st were and they asked how to get some of their own. Hopefully, I'll be able to bring more business from teh Bluegrass State down to Summer in Texas and more people interested in cloth diapering.
I've already put in a custom order for some training pants for my daughter, an AIO and pocket for my daughter's best friend/playmate, and some mamma fluff for me.

Well...
Item(s) were ordered on November 1st 2006. Then on December 1st 2006.
Communication was quick when invoice was sent, then no communication until a post was made on Livejournal stating that she was sending out her Canadian orders in a day or so. Upon emailing Summer, come to discover that my order had infact been messed up - and upon the order being messed up she offered to either give me a discount on embroidery or make me a free pocket in exchange for my "trouble" and was told the items would be re-sent on the 5th of December, after she picked up a replacement fabric for the pirate print as she was sold out of it. I emailed on the 7th and asked for a DC number as she said she was sending the items Global Prirority , and she said they would be sent in the next day or so. Then told they would go out on the 11th, I emailed on the 12th and she said they had been sent. I emailed on the 20th and I found out that they had been re-sent again due to a customs error and they would be there shortly. I kept contact with her as well these diapers were not cheap and I wanted to know where they were. On December 31st I emailed again and I let her know that the diapers had not shown up and I was asking for a refund. She then informed me that "I should wait longer" and she said she had no money to refund me. At this time I had opened a PP dispute for the second order, because time had lapsed on the first order and I couldn't get a claim opened. I agreed to close my pp dispute on the promise from Summer that I would have replacements sent in the mail ,due to be sent out on January January 4th or 5th 2007. I emailed Summer a couple of times after this to let her know the other diapers still hadn;t arrived, and one point she said the diapers were ready to go and the next minute she said they weren't completed yet.
Well the diapers came in finally on January 9th the original order, and after one wash they are falling apart. I emailed Summer a copy of the pictures and she informed me that this was normal, and that I will be expecting replacements so I should be happy.
Well today when I emailed more pictures, she informed me she could no longer work with me, and she would forward this to her customer service department. At this time I informed her that she can forward them my email address, and that at this time all I want is a refund because right now I have 56 dollars worth of diapers I can't use nor resell.
I understand she was trying to work with me on this, but things too many things just kept coming up, for example the holidays, kids were sick, couldn't make the diapers, working beyond doing diapers.. I wish I would have known this would have happened, I would have gone elsewhere
At this point I would have just been happy with a refund, store credit at this point wouldn't make the situation better.
Product review:
All four of the diapers she sent me are falling apart. Threads are coming loose, elastic is showing in the pocket, the pocket is coming apart from the inner, the diapers are so thin that one pee and they are soaked, serging is not completed, coming apart at the seams.
Overall a negative because I have diapers I cannot use, cannot be refunded for, nor cannot resell.
