Product: Custom christmas blouse - 9 month size.
Customer service: Impeccable. I contacted Tami when I was originally thinking about this custom, and she offered to put me on her list. I declined at the time, and then contacted her again later to see if she would put me on, as I had made up my mind. She assented very graciously. When it was time for my custom, she sent a custom form, which made it very clear what kind of measurements and direction she would need to get started. I found the form very helpful for the ice breaking necessary in any custom transaction. From there we emailed back and forth. She sent me pictures of fabric so I could choose, and was great about finding new ones until we agreed on one I was very happy with. From there the work was very fast. She was polite and friendly, a joy to work with.
Product: The shirt is adorable! It's difficult to find a flaw with Tami's work. The shirt is for christmas, and I can't imagine anything more perfect for my little girl to wear on her first christmas. I will happily contact this WAHM again. |

Everything was great at first. I emailed Tami asking about a custom slot and she said she would be happy to add me to her list. When my name came up, she emailed me, I decided what I wanted, and paid. I specified a certain bee applique I wanted and gave her a link to a picture of the applique. I also specified what colors I would like used and linked to several of my preferred fabrics. I told her she could make the final decision on fabrics and that I liked surprises.
However, when she emailed me pictures of the finished set, I was disappointed to see that the applique did not look like a bee, because she had used floral fabrics and pink thread. I emailed her and let her know that I had a boy and this was not what I was expecting. She admitted that she had not looked at the link I provided and actually thought the applique was a butterfly, despite my mentioning that it was a bee several times in our emails. She later changed her claim and said she had done the applique how I had requested it.
Her solution was to move me to the bottom of her list and make a new set when my name came back up again, or offer me a refund if she was able to sell the set to someone else. I did not feel either was a fair solution, and told her this. We disagreed so I filed with PayPal. I later closed the dispute out of frustration with the situation and just wanting it to be over. She finally agreed to send me a refund minus the deposit and then sent a refund for the deposit once the set sold on her congo.
Tami also made some snide remarks to me in the course of our emails that I felt were very unprofessional. I think this was just a really huge miscommunication, but I felt that I was not valued as a customer and that the situation could have been better handled.
Product review:
I did receive the other pull-on cover. It was supposed to be LWI dyed in different shades of blue, but looked to me like a muddy single shade of teal. I did not mention this to Tami though as I felt we were already dealing with enough. I did not keep it so I can't review its performance.
Response:
This was a very disappointing transaction on both ends. Alicia failed to mention in her order request that she had a boy, I did assume it was a girl because I felt the embroidery design she sent me was girly. I didn't fully look at the link she originally emailed because I was familiar with the designs. I did briefly look at it but didn't scroll down to the exact design, what I saw when I opened the link at the top was a butterfly and that image just stuck in my head. I did do the embroidery design she requested but since she did not request specific fabrics I went with what I felt worked best with the t-shirt fabrics. She did state specifically that she wasn't picky and liked surprises.
Once she emailed to let me know it wasn't what she was expecting and that it was for a boy I offered her a couple of solutions: refund once I resold the set or I could redo & ship in less than 2 weeks, probably sooner (which was still within the timeframe given for custom orders). Neither worked for her and it became apparent to me that she wanted a full refund even though my policies state no refund on custom orders. I feel the miscommunication was on both parts and I didn't feel it would be fair to refund the entire amount since I did go by her email request. I refunded her minus the deposit and then refunded the deposit once it sold.
Regarding the cover: she requested shades of blue and I did do that. LWI dyeing on wool is much more subtle than on cotton and you don't get the dramatic color changes like you do on cotton. Had I known of her dissatisfaction I would have been happy to redo the cover for her once she sent the original cover back to me. Also, this was second attempt with the cover. She originally requested two complimentary colors that when LWI dyed became an ugly brown. I emailed her about this and offered to redo the cover in different colors that worked better together at no charge.
I'm not sure what the customer is talking about regarding being snide and unprofessional. I reread my emails to her and I don't feel I was being either of those things. Unfortunatly email leaves so much open for interputation, I'm sorry she felt I didn't value her as a customer. That was certianly not the case.
This customer was very hard to please. I feel like I did everything I could to make this customer happy but I've come to the conclusion that it just wasn't going to happen regardless of what I offered to her. |

I am so grateful for Tami's impeccable customer service. First of all, the set shipped LIGHTNING fast. I think the sale was on a Tuesday, and I had it in my hands by Friday. When I tried the tennis top on my DD, some of the decorative stitching around the neckline snapped. I was mortified - we were in a hurry and I just wasn't being careful. I emailed Tami to ask if there was any way to fix it, and she let me send it back to her for repairs - free of charge, and it was back in my hands less than a week later! You can't even really tell it needed repairs at all.

THis mama has wonderful communication, after seeing that the spot was purchased right away I posted on the boards that I was jealous of whoever got them and she pmed me to let me know she could do a set for me if I wanted a set. Then she worked with me to figure out the best sizing for my dd and we went from there.

They are wonderfully sewn and look great, I got these for my dd's birthday in October as well but she may get them sooner. They look like they will fit perfectly and they workmomship is wonderful |
