How and why did you start Becky’s Paper Creations?
About 13 years I bought my first rubber stamp. It quickly became a passion, a way for me to explore my artistic side that had often been ignored. During this journey I fell in love with hand-bound books. I looked around for classes and couldn’t find any, so I grabbed some books and taught myself. I loved the process of turning paper and string into a hand-bound book, and even more I loved looking at the hand bound book as a blank canvas. It is reward for me to be able to take it and sit down and embellish it.
After making cards, journals and lots of other paper products, for several years I started trading them with others. Soon people started asking to purchase my products, so I began selling online a little over seven years ago.en more, I loved looking at the hand-bound book as a blank canvas. It is reward for me to be able to take it and sit down and embellish it.
Almost every one of my products is a unique work, so I really couldn’t pick just one. I do sell more journals that anything, I think mostly because hand-binding is not something a lot of people know how to do, which makes them unique.
Becky’s Paper Creations gives me a chance to be creative and share that creativity with others. It also enables me to continue staying home with and home schooling my children.
You will mostly find paper arts, but from time to time will find a few hand knits.
