How and why did you start Tessa Ann?
I grew up being surrounded by crafty women. My grandmas, aunts and mom all were very 
creative in their respective talents. I dabbled in many crafts throughout my life, really enjoying scrapbooking, drawing and, knitting and sewing. Naturally, I stumbled across polymer clay in my local craft store and picked out a few colors and forgot about them for some time. I needed a special button for a project and I just wasn’t finding what I wanted in my button stash. My husband had the brilliant idea to put that polymer clay I had purchased to use, and make my own button. Well, that took some trial and error, before I had a button that was functional and could be used on my sewn project, but a lot was learned in the process We’ve came along way from the button I made back then to the beautiful, functional sewing buttons you see now!
What is your favorite product / best seller and why?
My most favorite button set is our Cherry Blossoms- the cherry blossoms are simple, yet pretty and perfect for many projects! Our best-selling button set has been between the Cherry Blossom set and Posh Posies.
Because we’ve made this so many times…we’ve likely made it in any color of yarn you can think of. I think the fun assorted shapes and sizes and being able to change out colors to match a project make them a fun choice for many of our customers!
Is there anything else you’d like us to know about you and Tessa Ann?
Steve and Tessa Ann live in beautiful Bend, Ore. and we’re now new PROUD parents of our sweet baby girl, Annalee. Steve and I are grateful to be able to have a thriving business that allows us to both work from home, doing what we love… and watch our daughter grow! Buttons and baby… yep! That pretty much sums up our world!
