First of all, some of you may be asking, what is an HC$? In addition to earning HC$ by posting, you can also donate HC$ to other forum users to spread the love — giving a pat on the back for a really interesting a helpful post, for example. The forum moderators also run games and give HC$ as prizes. Finally, you might get HC$ from the elusive HC Fairy from time to time. She likes to sprinkle HC$ dust to deserving forum posters

OK – so what is HC$ Day? While sellers can offer items for HC$ anytime, HC$ is an organized event for a lot of sellers to offer HC$ all at once. To purchase an HC$ item, first ensure that you have enough HC$ in your account (your amount of HC$ appears under your forum name on the left when you post). Then, make the purchase — the seller will then contact you with his / her forum name so you can donate the HC$ to the correct account. That’s it

Why do sellers sell items for HC$? They can use those dollars to buy advertising on the site — it’s our own little Hyena Cart economy.

Please note a few rules of etiquette — it is considered bad form to ask for HC$ donations on the forums. It is also considered rude to ask a seller if an item in their store is available for HC$ purchase. If it is, the seller will mark it as such, no need to ask.
