F.A.Q.
Q.
I see lots of diapering products labeled" Wahm made".
What does that mean?
A. Wahm stands for "Work At Home Mom". Many of our
diaper products are not commercially produced but are made by
home sewers. If we know it was handmade but aren't sure by who
(or the Mom doesn't operate under a "brand" name) we
simply list it as "Wahm made".
Q.
Do you guarantee products sold on the Exchange? Can I return
diapers that don't fit correctly?
A. We will try our best to describe products accurately,
provide good pictures, and supply measurements, but we can't
make guarantees about the fit or performance of anything sold
second hand on the site. If you have concerns, be sure to
measure your child or email
us with specific questions before making a purchase. Returns
and refunds are not available at this time.
We cannot be responsible for packages lost in the mail. Delivery
confirmation and/or insurance is available and suggested for
large purchases.
Q.
Do you offer cash payments for diapers?
A. Cash is an option if you choose to consign your diapers.
However, we have a limited number of consignment slots open at a
time. You can find out more about consigning on our consignment
page.
Q.
If I've accepted store credit but can't find anything on the
exchange I want to buy, can I "cash out" my credit or
switch to consignment?
A. No. Once you've accepted credit and the transaction is
complete (you've shipped your diapers) you are locked into your
original decision. If you can't find anything you like or you no
longer need cloth products, you can transfer your credit to
someone else if you'd like, but we will not be able to pay you
cash in lieu of your credit.
Q.
How much will you pay me for my diaper products?
A. It depends. In general, we'll be more likely to extend
higher credit for larger lots in new or like new condition. You
can probably expect an offer of 25 - 50% of new retail if your
items are used, depending on the condition, size, brands, and
accuracy of your description. Well offer slightly more for new,
unwashed and unworn cloth products. You'll get the maximum
credit offer with accurate and detailed descriptions of your
lot. We determine "market value" by watching auction
trends. You can get a good estimate of credit to expect from our
credit
chart.
If you are accepted as a consignor, you set the prices for
your items. We take a 30% commission from the final selling
price to cover our time to list and fees.
Q.
Are there any products you won't take for exchange or
consignment?
A. We take items in "very good" to
"excellent" condition. We must refuse items showing
excessive wear (seams opening, excessive fraying), items that
are excessively stained, items with missing or defective
closures (i.e. snaps broken or hook & loop pulling away or
not tight), and items with foul odors. Although faint staining
is acceptable, we can't take the time to "sun out"
major stains. Due to some families' sensitivities to
cigarette smoke, we will not accept products from smoking
households.
We are also unable to sell new handmade diapers sewn from
trademarked patterns from non-licensed seamstresses. For
example, CuddleBuns™ and VeryBaby™ patterns are available to
the public, but a special license is required to sew and sell
these products. If you do have a cottage license to sell
these products, special arrangements may be available. Contact
us for details. Secondhand "brand names", however,
are saleable.
