Our new Black Bear Natural Deodorant has taken a year to develop! I wanted to create a natural deodorant that was strong enough for my bike-riding husband to use everyday. He is a high school teacher, and so, he must be fresh around students and staff all day long. I also did not want him to use commercial brands of deodorant that contain harmful chemicals (propylene glycol for one), and aluminum (linked to Alzheimers). After experimenting to get a good balance and texture, and the right manly scent, we now have the perfect beeswax based natural deodorant. My husband will not use anything else now. This deodorant comes in a standard size 3.25 oz. oval twisting solid roll-up.
Essential oils are what make this deodorant work so well, and it is a nice combination of woodsy and herbal essential oils, that include tea tree, myrrh, and rosemary, with a hint of grapefruit and lavender for an uplifting scent. Other ingredients include our own beeswax, and sweet almond oil. Due to the higher content of essential oils, this deodorant is not for those with sensitive skin. We will be working on a milder, yet effective deodorant for women in the near future. However, I have had great feedback from female customers that have also used it, and they have assured me that they find the scent refreshing and appealing for women too.
