| We started selling our natural beeswax lip balm, soap, and salve at our local Farmer's Market, along with our award winning honey, back in 2001. For seven years, we have not raised prices on our products. Due to rising costs in supplies and packaging, we have come to the decision that now, a slight increase is necessary to stay in the market. I want our valued customers to know that we held out as long as we could before making these changes, and that we know that our natural products are high quality at a bargain price. We are still able to keep prices lower as we do not have to pay for our beeswax and propolis, as our bees make them for us! Also, to our Canadian and international customers, I do my best to accurately charge for shipping, but sometimes flat rate shipping turns out to be a little less, sometimes a little more. Some of the shipping cost goes into the gas money and the time I spend going to the post office, filling out custom forms, and standing in line to ship orders. I do this happily because we value our international customers so much. But we have decided that a little of these costs and our time needs to be offset by the shipping charges. For customers who live in hotter regions, I do recommend purchasing an ice pack to protect your products. We cannot be responsible for the melting of products once they are shipped. We have never had a complaint about a melted product, and we would like to avoid it. :)
