Hi! My name is Andrea. I am the WAHM behind Breezy Babies.
I am a Mom of 4 kids under 11 yrs old.
Over the years I have purchased and sewn many diapers.
After figuring out what works best for me I decided to combine everything I liked in to one cloth diaper. I believe in simple, breathable and natural products. Besides cloth diapers I enjoy sewing other things for baby such as blankets, recycled wool longies, and much more. Check back often as I will be adding lots of great new products! The diapers I make are made with super soft, durable and Organic 70% Bamboo/ 30% Cotton blend. Both Fiber contents are certified organic. Bamboo fabrics stay soft wash after wash and are known to be more absorbent than cotton. This allows for more absorbency with less layers of fabric to create a trim and very absorbent diaper.
Your diapers can be washed in hot and dried on hot. They have been prepped and preshrunk.
My washing routine for cloth diapers:
I use a dry pail ( A lidded garbage pail lined with a pail liner or garbage bag will do)
I dump all of the diapers in my washing machine and run a cold/cold quick wash with no detergent.
Then I do a Hot/warm wash with detergent ( everyone has one they like, but I make my own, I also like Biokleen All temperature powder.)
I make sure that I add an extra rinse and spin to my hot wash.
I sometimes add 1/4 C vinegar or 1/4 C Clorox ultimate care bleach for delicate fabrics if I notice my diapers have become exceptionally stinky even after washing.
The diapers can then be line dried or dried in the dryer on high heat.
My recipe for detergent:
You will need a large bin or container
a large metal novelty popcorn container would be perfect.
Mix together:
1 Box Arm&Hammer washing soda
1 Box 20 Mule team Borax
2 large Boxes of SUN detergent with Colorsafe bleach
Or for a smaller amount you can use 1 box of SUN detergent and 1/2 a box of each of the Borax and the Washing Soda.
