Random Eclipse About us
I'm Candy - owner of Bizzy B Hive. I have a 5 year old daughter Emma, who keeps me quite "bizzy" as well. I've been making diapers for a little over 4 yrs now. I have always been very committed to the environment and decided to cloth diaper Emma from day 1. After purchasing my first computer when my daughter was about 3 or 4 mos. old, I discovered a very popular wahm auction site & the "diapering underground". Wow - it was soooo much fun!! I purchased Bizzy B Hive when Emma was about a year old and have been making them ever since.
I will offer some truly out of the ordinary items here at Random Eclipse...concentrating on natural fibers and applique work. If you have any questions, please contact me at any time! Enjoy the show :0)
My name is LeighAnne and I have 4 beautiful children...ranging in age between 9 years and 3 months. As an artist, I struggled to find words that described the intense and unspoken love I felt for my children. I cultivated a passion for expressing that radiant love through drawings. It quickly became clear that these drawings captured that unspoken bond and I began to recreate them using applique art. I felt rewarded by what a simple but vast love between a mother and child could produce. This maternal love was a universal canvas that every mother could relate to and it brought me so much inspiration to see other mothers identify with it. Thus, Bluegrass Moon was born and has been my passion ever since. Most of my products derive from my own designs and patterns and therefore, are completly one-of-a-kind. The love between my own children and I motivates me deeply to create these images so that they may serve as a meaningful reminder that our children carry the most purest and flawless love in existence.
Hello! I'm Kira, mama to Sailor Rebecca and sharing my life with Tony. We spend most of our time taking care of our retail seafood shop in downtown Olympia, but once in a while I get a chance to do something for Clothmopolitan I'm proud to be a part of what I consider an envoirnmentally friendly and forward thinking group of people who cloth diaper. Textile art and natural fibers have become a passion of mine, and I plan to offer an occasional burst of creative energy here at Random Eclipse.

Hi, I'm Hillary of Dashing Dachs! Right we make our home on the banks of Lake Erie in Northern Pennsylvania. Previously, we lived in Montana, which is where we began our yarn business. I've been dyeing the yarn, and my husband, Vlad, has been turning wooden knitting needles since just after the birth of our daughter in 2004.
As a family, we enjoyed roller-blading, biking, and photography.
My name is Danielle, aka Danz, 31-year-old wife of 10 years to Peter and mom to Piet who is 6, Aubrey who is 4 and Micah who is 2. I love playing with them and teaching them during the day.
Crafting beaded jewelry is my creative outlet reminding me in the midst of parenting preschoolers, that I am still an adult ;) I opened Doodles Jewels in March of 2004 after finding a bunch of my online friends were looking for nursing necklaces, and that I could create them beautifully and at a cost effective price point. I have since expanded to mostly gemstone jewelry and varying prices so that everyone can afford at least a small piece of special jewelry for themselves. We deserve it after all!
I am Kristena Haslam, artisan and practicing community herbalist. The items I create are infused with the power of plants, love and education. My blends are designed to aid the wellness of the mind, body and emotions.

El bee baby started up in the fall of 2002 when we were only 3: Laura, head seamstress, typist and devoted brainstormer; Dave, fabric cutter, washer, dyer and patient ear; and then tiny Finn, mini emperor and occasionally obliging diaper model. We've since moved across Canada to the tiny town of Sharbot Lake, home of pike and many snowmobiles. We've also welcomed a beautiful little Poppy to our fold as our new model and smiling inspiration. We love what we do, we're crazy about beautiful organic fabrics and at least one of us spends all her spare time thinking about things she can do with it!
My name is Christy and I am a proud work at home mom to my lovely daughter Anya. Born in August of 2002, she's the reason I founded this site in July of 2003, and she is also the inspiration and my main model for many of the products we feature.
Fuzbaby is owned by Lori Taylor, the diaper artist, who depends on the invaluable help of her husband Marc Pehkonen, the diaper scientist.
The Fuzbaby idea started when an artist’s academic burnout met a baby on the way. I had made diapers for my first child, and in 1999 I was in the process of making diapers for my second child, soon to be born. I had been in school so long that I missed working with my hands, and I missed color. The ideas came together, and I decided to make the most colorful diapers I could imagine.
We started with a tailored wool cover, the Fuzbomb, and our own fitted diaper, then added a wool snap-in contour diaper set, the Almost-in-One. Later we added more themed diapers, like the Diaper Garden and Elemental Diapers. Color, color, color. That's what makes the mundane cloth diaper astonishingly beautiful. Fuzbaby is one of the longest running diaper manufacturing businesses still owned and operated by the founder.
Hi, I'm Karen, mama to Julia and Isaac and in love with my dh Todd :) I started Kool Sheep Soakers in May of 2003 when it suddenly dawned on me that I could combine my love for cloth diapering and knitting into a wonderfully fun hobby-biz. My day-job is intensely technical so this outlet for my creativity has done wonders to keep me balanced and sane.

Hi! My name is Trista and I own OBB Diapers. I'm Mom to 3 adorable girls. I started sewing diapers when my oldest was a baby, and I became a Very Baby licensee as well as designed my own diaper line, the OBB Marathon. I opened my diaper business when my middle child was FOOTW (fresh out of the womb ;) almost 4 years ago!
Hi, I'm June; WAHM-potter of Rising Sun Earthworks. I'm mother to teenage boy-girl twins John and Katie and wife to Mike, my third child ;).
My muddy adventure started in college when I flunked out of pre-vet chemistry for the second time and decided to go for an "easy" degree in art. There I learned all about clay and glaze and throwing and firing. Once I graduated, I didn't touch clay for another 10 or so years- I became an animal control officer instead.
I love creating things that are useful. My pottery is simple, durable, and meant to be used every day. I hope you enjoy using your pottery as much as I enjoy making it for you!
Hi, I'm Jess - mom to 3 amazingly curious children, wife to a fly boy and owner of Whim. I'm also an (almost) full-time portrait photographer. Most of my creative energy is channeled into photography, but every once and awhile the need to create something wearable takes over. I've been around the WAHM block for a few years, formally owning the jewelry shop, Not Just Rocks.
At Whim you'll find creations from the mind and soul. I will feature hand-crafted jewelry along with occasional fine art prints ... whenever the whim occurs. Please feel free to contact me at any time.
While I specialize in wool play food and nature table elements, I've come to realize that this gig isn't just about filling up play kitchens. It's about taking each of you with me while I discover new facets of my artistic journey. It's about encouraging you to try something new. It's about giving pause to the simple and delightful things. It's an incubation of ideas.
