CPSIA I know that many of you are aware of the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act and the February 10, 2009 deadline for manufacturers of children's products to be compliant with the lead and phthalate limits specified in that law. Please know first and foremost that all Tickety Bu products are completely safe, as well as lead and phthalate free. Recently, the CPSA
voted to exempt products made exclusively of fabric from testing, whether dyed or
natural. This is because fabric and fabric dyes
inherently do not contain lead. Again, just to reassure everyone, all Tickety Bu products are completely safe and even though I am not required to test them under this law, everything on this site does comply with the limits outlined in the CPSAI.
I urge all of my customers to familiarize themselves with this law and the possible ramifications of it in it's current state. Feel free to email me with any questions.
Fabrics Bamboo Velour My
bamboo velour is 70% viscose from bamboo, 28% organic cotton and 2% polyester and is milled in the USA. It is also Oeko-Tex certified. The polyester
is in the backing to provide durability. This fabric is very luxurious
and has a slight sheen to it.
Bamboo Terry My
bamboo terry is 70% viscose from bamboo, 28% organic cotton and 2% polyester and milled in the USA. The polyester is again in
the backing and is for stability.
Bamboo Fleece My bamboo fleece is 70% viscose from bamboo and 30% cotton and is milled in the USA. It is slightly heavier than the other fabrics I use and extremely plush.
Bamboo French Terry My
bamboo french terry is 70% viscose from bamboo, 30% cotton and milled both in the USA and Canada (I have two sources that I use). It is similar to fleece,
but has flat loops on one side. It is quick to absorb and very plush as
well.
The raw bamboo used in in Tickety Bu products is certified by OCIA as organic under "wild crops" and certified organic under "organic farms". The bamboo fibers contained in the fabric used are produced in a closed loop process and have passed Oeko-Tex Standard 100, which is a leader when it comes to testing for harmful substances. It has also been certified by SGS (the world's largest inspection, verification, testing and certification company) to have more anti-bacterial properties than other viscose from bamboo (the FTC refuses to recognize any findings on this issue for unknown reasons).
Hand Dyed Items The
dyed items here have been dyed with the highest quality fiber reactive
procion dyes and have been washed 4 times total, two prior to dying
and two after the dying process. Natural prefolds have been washed 3
times. All steps have been taken to ensure the removal of any excess
dye, but please take care to wash your dyed items separately for a
few washes to ensure color fastness. Slight variations in the dye are a
normal part of the dying process and not considered flaws.
Care Instructions Tickety Bu prefolds reach maximum absorbency after 7-10 total washes, so they will
only get better with time. All Tickety Bu products are machine wash, tumble dry. Do not use bleach. The use of wool dryer balls will speed drying time and keep your Tickety Bu items soft and supple.
Returns Unused items may be returned for a refund, excluding shipping costs, within 14 days.
Everything
offered by Tickety Bu is hand made, not factory made, so items may vary
very slightly from one to another. I stand completely behind my
craftmanship and all are guaranteed for 30 days. If you have any
problems with defects, please alert me immediately. If it is past 30
days, I will do my best to repair the item. All repair or replacement
decisions will be under the discretion of Tickety Bu. Shipping for
repairs past the initial 30 day guarantee will be the responsibility of
the customer. I'm easy to work with and very fair, please email me with
any concerns.
Custom Orders Custom orders are taken in the order they are received, but will not be billed until work can begin. All details must be determined before work will begin and most will ship within 7 days of receiving payment.
Custom orders that include dying will receive a picture of the dyed fabric for review prior to the completion of the item. I calibrate my computer monitor and match photo colors to the actual fabric. However, I cannot ensure that your monitor will accurately represent the colors in the fabric, therefore I cannot guarantee color or accept returns based on color.
Shipping Domestic shipping will be USPS, first class or priority, and include delivery confirmation. Canadian
customers can select first class shipping or priority, but if selecting
priority please contact me first so I can give you an actual shipping
quote. All other International customers please contact me for shipping quotes. I strongly encourage customers purchase shipping insurance as I am not responsible for packages once they are shipped. The shipping charges on this site are based on the weight of the
item. All shipping charges collected that are over $1.00 more than
actual shipping costs will be refunded.
Orders
ship out within 48 hours of payment (custom orders will ship out on agreed upon dates). If there will be any delay in
shipping, I will contact you immediately.
