So lovely to look at, but pure evil at heart!  This beautiful silk fabric sat in the remant bin right next to the coordinating vinyl bottom fabric.  It was so tantalizing,and promised to result in an amazing item.  It sat in my stash quietly waiting, never hinting at it's evil intentions.  One day my eyes fell on it again and I realized it would make a stunning small project knitting bag.  That was the moment when things started to go horribly, heart breakingly wrong.

 

At some point a piece was cut wrong, in spite of my meticulous measuring.  When I started to sew the inner and outer I found the error.  In normal circumstances I would have scrapped the project and started over.  But I was blinded by the beauty and wanted to see the end result so badly I trimmed off what I thought was the extra and carried on.  When I turned the bag right side in I found that the inner no longer matched up nicely.  Still determined not to waste the two hours I had put into this "quick" project, I refused to be defeated.  It was time to thread through the closure ribbon, and I found that I had left the opening for the ribbon on the inside!  I could not have been any more frustrated, at this point it was closing in on 3 hours since I had started and it was time to go pick up the kids from school.  It wasn't until I was cooking dinner that I realized the outer fabric was inside out!!!!

 

If you dare, you may bring home this wonky, but functional and pretty bag.  Hopefully the evil is completely used up and it won't transfer to your yarn.  It features a base approximately 6" across and is about 10" high of usable space.  Inner pockets are sewn from the same lovely cream colored woven with silk binding.  The outer is a khaki green decorator weight silk with vines and fuzzy leaves.  Matched with a lovely olive vinyl with hints of gold.  The solid bottom gives a lovely solid form to this bag and keeps your pretty silk from getting soiled if you set it on the ground.  Closed with a chocolate brown ribbon (on the inside, who knows, maybe you'll like it that way!)  A generous strap allows the bag to be hung on the wrist.
