How custom orders work
I will have a notice in my forum signature, at the top of my shop, and the title of this page whether I am open for customs or not. When I am open and you would like something that is not immediately available, feel
free to email or PM me about what you are looking for. I do not charge
extra for customs unless they require extra work or materials. I do not
require a deposit if the item is something that I normally stock and is
not personalized. Typically customs take about 4 weeks to 6 weeks to
complete. I work on several dozen items at the same time. If my customs
list gets longer than what I can accomplish in a month, I will
temporarily close for customs.
When your items are ready, I will contact you for your zip code and
paypal address. After packing and weighing and calculating shipping, I
will then send you an invoice. Your items will go out within 3 days of
receiving payment- but more likely the same day.
Your choices
Though I work with many different glaze colors, the colors I offer up
for customs are a bit limited. This is because some glazes are not
reliable, and there's nothing I hate more than having to make up a
custom order 3 times, keeping you waiting, because the glaze is not
cooperating! So I have posted a chart here of the glazes you have to
choose from for your custom order:

Please note: Lidded items and mugs may have clear or white glaze on the inside unless otherwise requested. I am not able to duplicate a color exactly- especially trying to match colors or to come up with the color of an animal, for example. Glazes change color during the firing, and from firing to firing and batch to batch, and I do not have the time to conduct the dozens of test firings to come up with an exact color. Clay shrinks anywhere from 10 to 15% during the process of making pottery. Therefore I am unable to create an exact size or replace a broken lid or fitted piece.
