A simple little forest for simple little hands.

The tops are hand-dyed wet felted wool balls that have been securely attached to 1/2 inch wooden dowels.  The dowels then fit into the wood base and can be rearranged with ease.  Who wouldn't want to rearrange their own little forest?

This scene represents late autumnal leaves, just before they fall from their branches.

I have to admit that I really struggled with a finish for the wood.  Since the purpose and design of the forests are, after all, intended for children I decided not to finish or paint the wood.  There are food grade oils and finishes that are available (which I have) and if you'd like something like that, let's chat...because I'm certainly open to that option.

The base measures 6.5 x 7.5 inches and the entire scene, when assembled stands roughly 11 inches tall.

The German animals are not included but widely available at fine toy stores nation wide.
