One thing that saved my sanity while adjusting to life with a newborn was to be able to nurse her at night in bed. The only problem was that she dribbled a lot, and I was tired of waking up on wet sheets.
So, I searched through my materials and worked out a solution. I call it a nursing pad. I have used it for almost a year now and it has made my life so much easier!
Inspired By Baby's nursing pad is made of a bottom layer of PUL to keep it waterproof, a suede cloth or fleece top that is soft on baby's skin and stay-dry as well, and a hidden layer of hemp to absorb baby's dribbles. I serge it all together and Voila! no more wet sheets.
Simply lay the PUL side facing down and lay baby's head in the middle. When baby is hungry gently turn baby on his/her side towards you and nurse away. When left in place it will catch any urps while baby is sleeping.
Great for co-sleeping and using in baby's crib until he/she can roll over. Can also be used as a car seat protector or lap pad.
Size is approx 11" x 18"
