For Single Owner (HCM) stores, I just added the option of defining your product on the basis of the Hyena Cart site-wide categories and subcategories. Once this has been in place for a while, the links from the main site onto category-level pages will have the option to show products or stores (it only shows stores now). Subcategory pages will show items defined into those subcategories vs. now, where the subcategory pages show search results based on the subcategory name. This should make browsing easier for our shoppers in the future If you have suggestions for other categories and subcategories, I would be happy to add them.

In other news, you now have the ability to batch print pack slips from the order history page, and shipping options are now shown in the correct currency (they used to show in only dollars, which was incorrect).

Things seem to be back up and running now. Here is the update from Paypal’s site:

We have implemented a fix and IPNs for transactions processed after Jan 28, 10:47 AM PST (Jan 28, 6:47 PM GMT) are being sent now. We are expecting IPNs for new transactions to start being delivered in near real-time within the next hour. We are also estimating that missing IPNs for transactions processed between Jan 27, 11:04 PM PST (Jan 28, 7:04 AM GMT) and Jan 28, 10:47 AM PST (Jan 28, 6:47 PM GMT) will be delivered within the next 24 hours.

As the IPN’s (those are the pingbacks from Paypal to HC) come in, items may be re-taken out of stock. Just keep an eye on your inventory, etc. Hopefully this won’t happen again anytime soon!

Just an FYI that Paypal’s IPN system is down, which means payments made via HC aren’t being reflected in HC’s system. So far they haven’t given an ETA on when this will be fixed. Sorry! I’ll let you know as soon as I hear anything.

Also, if you’ve made a store payment, SC payment, etc., please give me a little time as I’m going to have to update these manually.

Just working through some of your great requests from the Features Request page (http://hyenacart.com/feature_request.php). So here are the latest added features:

• For Pending Buy Now’s, you now have the option to Restock the item or Move to Orders
  • If you Restock the item, the item will be deleted from your buyer’s cart, and the quantity will be added back the the listing. If the shopper had gone through checkout and created an order number, that order will be cancelled.
  • If you Move to Orders, the item will be deleted from the shopper’s cart, and an order will be created with the appropriate information. Note that shipping won’t be included as this is typically added when a shopper goes through checkout.
• Hidden categories: for single-user stores, you can now hide a category by setting its Category Order number higher than 10000. Note that if a shopper has that category page bookmarked, or any of the product listings bookmarked, she will still be able to view the category and purchase items. So although the category will be hidden, the items will still be available for purchase for people who have direct links.

I recently noticed the Flash uploader wasn’t working correctly for multi-user (HCS) stores. That should be fixed now, so if you were having trouble with the uploader before, please give it another try.

I’m looking for input on moving the featured shops images back to the top of the main HC page (where they used to be). I’m also changing the name from “featured shops” to “sponsored shops.” Please weigh in if you have an opinion:

For HCS stores (multi-user stores and congos):

• You can now set your auctions to keep bidders’ identities private (from the Store Settings >> Profile Page)
• You now have “Invoice” and “Ship Notification” links on your Order History page to make it easier to send these communications to your shoppers
• Bidders on your auctions can now lower their proxy bids (not not below the current high bid).

HCM stores already have all of the above three features.
