About Baby Bean!

Hi, my name is Tawny Stillar! I started Baby Bean in the Fall of 2007 as an informational company designed to promote natural parenting. I was a young mom lost in a sea of information before discovering these simple and natural alternatives and wanted to help other moms like myself to realize they had better options than big name stores would have them believe. It slowly expanded to include a line of products that I used for my own children, including knits, cloth diapers, wipes, mei tais and accessories. Now, my children have grown out of diapers and I find my interests expanding and so Baby Bean is also growing up. Today Baby Bean still keeps its roots in natural parenting by continuing to provide diapering knits, but instead of being solely a place to give to others, I've allowed it become a place I can give something back to myself. I love fiber and color, and I get an incomprehensible joy from watching colors blend together in a pot over yarn, feeling silky fibers slip between my fingers on their way onto my wheel, and watching something take shape out of the resulting yarn. Baby Bean is now not only a shopping place for all your fiber needs, it's my little corner, my dojo, my outlet. I hope you enjoy the new grown up face of Baby Bean as much as I have enjoyed watching my children, my passions, and this baby of a company grow up.
