Custom Knits and Spins!
~Spins~
For
wool YFMW (your fiber my wheel) slots in a worsted or heavier weight, I
charge $4.00 per ounce, that's $16 per 4 oz. For DK weight I charge
$8.00 an ounce, that's $32 per 4 oz. Sock yarns will be $10.00 per
ounce, that's $40 per 4 oz. Novelty and
art yarns are charged on a per job basis depending on what you want
added. A non-refundable deposit of $10 is required before work begins,
with the balance due upon completion.
You can either ship fiber to me or have the dyer ship directly to me.

promise to do my best to prevent pooling (if you'd like me to), to send
out progress photos and in the end, a knit you'll love.
I offer custom knits if you have an idea or pattern in mind but don't have the time or means to knit it yourself. Past customs include sweaters, socks, shrugs, and other baby apparel. Pricing on these items is quoted on a per job basis, so if you have something in mind please email me at tawny@babybeandesign.com. For diapering knits I
charge a base rate for my work, plus the cost of yarn. This means you
will, in essence, be paying a YYMN slot price. I think this is the
fairest way to price, instead of charging a flat rate for each size
even though I may be using less expensive or pricier yarns. You're
basically buying the yarn from me for what I paid and then paying my
normal rate to knit it up for you. Make sense? Alright, then see my

note: While I will take certain measures to prevent pooling, I will not
accept a return on an item based on pooling alone. The way colors blend
in a knit piece depends on how the yarn was dyed and how big the
garment is. We believe that the natural way the yarn knits is beautiful
and unique, and we hope you feel the same way!
Custom sizing can either be
picked from my categories below or you can use your child’s personal
measurements, which will be compared to my size chart and priced
accordingly. When ordering you pay deposit and upon completion an
invoice will be sent with remaining balance. Deposit (non-refundable)
for woolies is $10.
Additional
fees may be charged for pieces that require many yarn changes (such as
stripes), are custom dyed, or have a design. If you purchase one of my
hand dyed yarns and would like me to knit it as well, I will take an
additional $5 off of my regular YYMN prices.
